i asked if the unit would be ready by july 1st,2007,and she said yes. i dropped off an application and $40. she called me later that day to say she recieved the application and fee, at that time i asked her again, is the unit going to be ready july 1st, she said yes. i had to call her tuesday afternoon and ask if i was approved and she said yes. then she continued to ask me when i needed to move in. i said july 1st, and she said it might not be ready by then. i was so upset, but i didnt lose my cool. i asked her calmly when it would be ready and she said she didnt know, that she would call me that night after she talked to the maintenance man. i asked her why she gave me false info twice and she didnt reall answer the question, just said she was sorry and she could refund my $40 if i wanted. so i waited for her to call me tuesday night, i recieved no call. i called her wednesday morning and she didnt even know who i was. i asked when the unit would be ready, she said she didnt have a chance to talk to the maintenance man, that she would call me that night with the info. i asked if if she understood that i had to move sunday and it was now wednesday and i wasted a whole weekend not apt hunting because she said the apt would be ready by the first and i would get approved. she didnt even sound sorry. she actually sounded annoyed, like i was bothering her. i then said forget it i want my $40 back for the screening fee, and i told her i would be by thursday morning around ten to get it. she said ok that's fine, no problem. at 8:30am thursday morning she called me saying she talked to the owner and the owner said i couldnt have my $40 back, because they already did the screening. I asked if she told the owner about the false info she gave me twice and that she told me i can have the money back twice...and basically she rushed me off the phone saying to had a funeral to go to. and that was that. she basically left me under a week to find housing, and took my $40 dollars!!
