I enjoy stopping by Roots on Tuesday in the summer and fall for the produce deals. I like this better than the road side stands, as you can keep moving if they don't have what you need. I usually walk around a bit to see what prices each stand is asking. It is so convenient to buy what you need and then go to the next stand for better prices on something else. Everyone always seems friendly to me. I never really stop at the junk stands, have noticed that this area is growing over the years.... not my cup of tea :) more

Wonderful Outdoor Market 8/30/2005

A great outdoor market that carries a little bit of everything. The stand holders at Roots carry fresh in season produce during the summer months (corn on the cob picked that day). There are several flea market type stands throughout as well. There is an auction for animals (rabitts and such) and also flowers and food. Also there are food stands galore (both inside and outside) and there are several butcher shop stands inside as well. more

One stop Shop 8/30/2005

This is a great Farmers Market with everything you might need. They have a great Market place selling lots of fresh foods and great treats. The cahseirs and people are all very nice and they have plenty of parking. They have limited hours though which is the only thing that makes them great instead of perfect. It is all local though and thats an A+++. more

Great Outdoor Market 8/9/2005

Root's is a year round country market that has a huge variety of stands and auctions. Quite a few local farmers sell their produce here so the summer selection of corn the cob, strawberries etc is wonderful. The prices beat the supermarket. There are numerous food stands, knick knack type stands, pretty much it has a little bit of everything and all at great prices. Root's is, however, only open on Tuesdays. more
