I have been going to Roller Kingdom for 17 years. Since I was just a little brat, I guess you could say. At the time, we lived in Boston and would go in car loads to Tyngsboro on Sunday nights to roller skate with all our friends - about 30 of us total from Boston and Lowell. It was the only decent place to skate at the time. Over the years, however, the rink condition has made it very unsafe and scary to skate there. Last time I went was about a year ago; they had orange cones where the huge cracks were on the floor. The floor was a complete mess - uneven, cracks, even some small dings and dents. I fell several times due to this. It was very uncomfortable skating there and it made me sad because I really love skating! Roller Kingdom has so much potential - it's still "lost in time" as far as decor goes - it's still 1980 in there - but it's fun and I actually prefer it to stay that way because it adds to the charm and appeal to me. When I'm there, I feel 16 again because the atmosphere looks exactly the same. The only thing that is different is the music and the damaged floor. Roller Kingdom, if you read this review, please resurface your floor and post that information on your website when it's done because I'm sure many people stay away due to the poor skating conditions. Other than that, roll on!
