My dad had a gas station/repair shop when I was growing up ... I was afraid to let anyone but my dad touch my truck. I've known Richie for the better part of 5 years now, and have to say he is one of the most honest, trustworthy people I know (which is very difficult to find in the automotive field). If I need something, he gets me info on it, tells me how much it is, how long it'll take and has gone over and beyond helping me out to take care of what needs to be done. I just recently had some work done on my Ford Expedition, which included some suspension work that a few other shops couldnt figure out. He also did the tires and rims recently. Coming from an automotive family, his explanations and attention to detail were very impressive. All I can say is give him a shot. I've been more than happy with the service I received and will happily refer him to my friends. more

My boyfriend bought me a jeep for my birthday 2 years ago and after taking it on the beach and seeing all the other lifted jeeps, I wanted to lift my jeep and make it my own. I searched for months on forums and went from shop to shop asking what lift would be best for my jeep. All signs pointed only in one direction...RMS Offroad! I visited the shop expecting to have my head spinning with all these technical terms and explanations. The owner, Rich was a great, informative guy, that explained every point of the lift to me in terms that I could understand. I felt so comfortable with everything Rich had explained to me that I booked the job right there and I am so very happy that I did. RMS did a amazing job and i couldnt be happier!! I have had 2 trucks done by richie in the past and my brother had one done as well. his work was done with great care and never had a problem dealing with him. he is a really cool guy in my opinion and if u are on long he is the place to go to get your truck lifted. work was always finished on time and he stands behind what he does. more

Richie is great: he does everything he can to make your truck exactly how you want it, without selling you nonsense. His work is impeccable, and he goes out of his way to make you happy. Very trustworthy truck shop. Always takes care of any service I'm in need of. Recommended to many friends who were just as happy! Below comment (cani9100) seems extremely unlikely. Richie from RMS Offroad always follows through with every customer I have seen him deal with. I constantly see 2-3 trucks per week driving around with his decal in the back window. These trucks look amazing, have not seen one I question in quality. He's been around for many years pumping out many many trucks. A beautiful large shop with the right equipment to get the job done correctly. Every year I order tires through him and receive the very next day! Even mounts them immediately! His custom kits are perfectly built. Does not cut corners! Trucks come to him from all over the east coast. I've seen trucks from Florida sent to him to be done. Even the shop dog Jambi is trustworthy! Takes great pride in his work and will make sure the right product gets in your hands in a quick timely order. more

I recently had some work done on my truck at RMS after being referred by a friend. Well, you better hope that all the work you need gets completed the first time. I spent a decent amount of money on my truck and was looking for an additional product where Richie was going to make some money, but not into the thousands. At that point, to say I was put on the back burner would be quite the under statement. Richie personally lied to me numerous times each week telling me the part would be in later in the week. This went on for several months, not days or weeks. As you can see I'm a rather patient person. I also wish I had shopped around rather than take my friend's words for granted. I won't mention the cheaper places because I'm not writing this to plug his competition. I'm just here to warn others so they don't get treated as poorly as I did. By the way, this is the FIRST time I've ever taken the time to give a business a negative review. That's had bad he was. UPDATE after reading the two above reviews!!!!! Its painfully obvious that the positive reviews were written by RMS themselves. They even left a positive review using their USER OWN NAME. Take a look at their reply to a previous complaint where they signed in as RMS OFFROAD. Then they go ahead and enter a positive review claiming to have had work done under the SAME USER NAME and CLAIM it was a customer review! Why didn't the customer write his own review if they were so good? Look at the dates too. The positive reviews were a day apart the first time and then on the same day the next time. They handle their reviews as intelligently as they handle their customers. RMS is a COMPLETE JOKE! more

Just recently had a 6"" lift installed on my 2010 Toyota Tundra. The truck has exceed my expectations, not only does it look outrageous but drives like factory. The guys at RMS Off Road took the time to answer all my questions and my numerous phone calls. Even after I picked my truck up and had questions they were always available. They even met me after business hours, what shop does that these days. I highly recommend RMS Off Road, they were professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Thanks Guy's more

I recently got a lift on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee done by RMS, and I have to say, it was a great experience, from the time I walked into the door to the moment I drove away in my finished truck. The intimate setting is great, because you know who is doing the work on a more personal basis. I wasn't gimmicked and was led to customizations that would both benefit my truck while giving me the look and style I wished for. The owner, Rich, was very personable and helpful in explaining every question I had with an adequate answer. The work done was fantastic and I have absolutely no regrets! just recently got my 2008 ford f-150 done by RMS off road. They did a great job on my truck and the service was awesome. I must have come down to RMS 6 times and each time there was never any pressure put on me and also each day i was there they talked me through everything I needed to know. .The owner Richie talked me through each step and told me what my best options were for lifting my truck. Every question I had for them was explained to me and gave myself a better understanding. They gave me a great price with no unexpected suprises at the end. Prices were very competitive even with online and magazine prices. They clearly take pride in their work by giving you a two anf four week checkup to make sure your truck is running at the highest degree of quality possible. They supply great hospitality to all their costumers and make sure that your experience is the best it can be. Pros: Great service and Great work more

RMS did several thousand dollars of work on my truck. There were three minor details that needed to be finished to complete the work he had agreed to do. I called dozens of times for 7 months and was repeatedly lied to about having ordered parts and when he would be able to do the work. I understand it was small work but a shop with integrity would finish what they agreed to finish, When I asked why it was taking so long to get this scheduled I was yelled at and cursed at by the owner about how my job didn't matter and he needed to pay his bills. I have never experienced such an unprovoked and unprofessional tirade from a business owner who relies on word of mouth and reputation. Needless to say the RMS sticker is off my truck and I can recommend anyone use him unless you want to be treated badly and not have your job finished. Cons: Doesn't Finish the Job and Lies more
