What a dump! Did I really just pay $15 for Little Debbie's and American cheese? 1/23/2007

This road-side port-o-let goes down in history as one of the five worst places I have ever eaten. Although skeptical, I was convinced by friends (who needs enemies?) to attend brunch at Riverside. Um, ""Riverside?"" Does the name come from the fact that most items on its menu appear to be found on a dirty river bank? The brunch offering consisted of random ""latin"" culinary experiments gone astray---most under a slimy veil of imitation American cheese. The topper is the ""dessert"" selection. What this really means is that the kitchen staff took time to unwrap the Aldi-quality snackcakes before lumping them into a wicker basket lined with a cheap paper napkin. Is this brunch, or snacktime at a juvenile lockdown? Pros: best choice for artists who haven't suffered enough in life Cons: Where do I start? more

Wonderful warm atmosphere 9/16/2006

This ""deli"" has a great variety of delicious menu items, including Cuban style sandwiches and delicious and healthy burritos and wraps alongside more traditional deli fare. What really has won my wife and I over to this place is the service, as it is a warm and friendly atmosphere that is perfect for families. In addition, the outdoor patio and indoor/outdoor bar area are very secluded and have the feel of an escape from the City. The weekend brunch offers an incredible variety, and appeared to be popular with the locals. more

Very Unique Burnch 9/3/2002

My husband brought me there about a year ago and I instantly fell in love. I have been there a few times since and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I have only gone there for brunch on the weekends so I don't know how the other meals are, but someday I will definately try it. This brunch is not your typical one. Yes there are eggs, bacon, french toast, etc., but fot the rest of the room there is a traditional Mexican flare. I can't even begin to describe the spread. There are also some other ethnic foods there that add to the variety. The only funny thing I find there is the dessert table consists of Twinkies, Oreos, Gem doughnuts and such, but for $11.95 a person, you won't complain. In the summer, I'd sugest asking for an outside table. more

I have had a good time at this plave every time I've gone. It's great to have the family there, the third time I went we did have a large party and managed to get in fairly quickly. I was impressed since it's such a tiny place. The service is always friendly if not the fastest, but since it's brunch that I always go to it's not that big of a deal, sometimes you have to deal with extra plates on you table. Pros: fun, inexpensive, fine parking Cons: crowded, loud, no reservations more
