not been back since. got a complimentary free meal.told the manager her just as rude as the two waitresses that wait on me.One waitress was in training from the other waitress.the manager told me he not want to turn down the music.the volume full blast. he did .told the manager all i got was problems.the waitresses not want to write down the order.told me not the job requirement.they did write it down.brought order wrong and not volunteer to correct it. also not volunteer to come back to table to see if needed anything,walked away from me while giving order and talking to them,they both decided not to waitress at my table in the middle of my meal,not volunteer to wait on me when sat down,not volunteer to bring drink,food,silverware,glasses,napkins,they were only nice to tables with males.also talked back rude,interrupt me while speaking and yelled at me. the manager waited on me some during the last part of the meal. more

I've been going to RBL for several years and have always had wonderful food and some of the best service in Winston. Everyone from the front door staff and servers to the management has been nothing but welcoming, accommodating, and dedicated to a high level of customer service. On a related note, I recommend that you completely disregard the review below from ""eatingeating"" (unless you need a good laugh) and try River Birch for lunch, dinner, or their fantastic weekend brunch. Like I said in my comment below that individual's ""review,"" I really do doubt that he/she has ever been to River Birch... It's my go-to restaurant for everything from casual lunches to fancy dinners. more

Rude management and waitresses. The manager would tell me I lied about rude waitress.I raised my voice at him and got a complimentary meal. I had the waitress removed from waiting on me. I complained about loud music. He said he not turn it down,though the manager did. The white,young,obese,blond hair waitress was rude. She was training a new employee while waiting on me. She would not volunteer to wait on me,bring menu,write down order she said she not want to do it,not come back to see if needed anything more,the orders were wrong continuallly and would not volunteer to correct,interrupt me,talk back rude,rush to get rid of me,give rude look,not volunteer to talk to me,not volunteer to bring me food,drink,silverware,napkins,walk away from me while talking to her,Had to ask her to come back to my table to get waited on,yell at me.She was only nice to male customers at tables.The restaurant was dirty.Employees would push food crumbs off tables onto dirty floors. Has everything youd want in a restaurant: service is friendly, outdoor seating, a bar, and great food. The wonderfully decorated wood lodge with beautiful iron decor creates a truly appealing and relaxing environment for lunch or dinner. The baked brie appetizer is absolutely marvelous and enough for a whole meal! But, dont forget to save room for dessert, if you are a chocolate lover youve got to try the molten chocolate lava cake!
