After having our in ground pool for almost 10 years it was time to replace the vinyl liner. When I called to get a price quote I spoke with a woman named Tara (it might have been Sara. It gets confusing with both of them.) She was very friendly and knowledgable and she quoted me a price that was very reasonable. We then picked out our liner from a nice wide selection. And the salesman that worked with us was very nice, thorough, and knew the product well. Shortly after a very friendly gentlemen came out and took measurements. Then came the annoying part. It took around four weeks for our liner to come in which was totally expected but we where in the dark for those four weeks and calling to ask for information can at times be annoying. Most of the time you can talk with a pleasant and knowledgable sales rep but sometimes you may talk to a very unpleasant person who keeps saying ""I'm not sure what you want me to do about it."" But when the liner finally came we didn't have to wait very long for it to be installed. First someone comes out with a pump to drain the pool which is where my only real grievance lies. The technician who came to drain the pool thought it was totally appropriate for him to drain the water into our neighbors yard which is idiotic. Shortly after he left I saw what he did and turned off his pump and drained the pool myself.The day after that 2 gentleman came to install the liner. They where perfect! Quick, thorough, and kind they installed our liner masterfully and now it looks absolutely beautiful.With the exemption of a few hiccups, we are very satisfied and will be coming back again in another 10 years. more

Rising Sun Pools was a good company. However, it seems they have gone way down the hill. I contacted one of the owners named Tara and told her I had to wait for over an hour for bags of salt at their Garner location. Tara told me it wasn't her fault they couldn't keep employees in the store to work. I had my wife go back a second time for salt, and she left after waiting for over 45 minutes. When I posted a review telling people looking for salt, they could go to Walmart Tara Emailed me and told me they would no longer service my pool or work with me. \r \r After bad service from Rising Sun, I called and talked to John at A.B.C Pools. They were polite, easy to deal with and fast at getting the job done. A.B.C Pools charged far less than Rising Sun Pools and they welcome your business.\r \r MY OPINION: I would highly recommend you stay far away from Rising Sun Pools, this is a bad company and a company I would NEVER work with again. I'm also not one who usually complains. I even give tips to waiters or waitresses who are rude because I feel they may have had a bad day. So if you want someone who does a good job look elsewhere. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. more

\r My husband and I met a representative of Rising Sun Pools at the Southern Home show. At the time, we were house shopping and either planning on buying a house with a pool or planning to put one in. The representative stated that your company could advise us prior to house purchase and we were referred to, Gerry Sinnott. I was amazed by his quick and thorough responses to our various questions and multiple property reviews. I know it must have taken some time to look up septic areas, plots and general property information and his advice was invaluable to our housing search. He answered each and every question within 24 hours (usually within a few hours)! We especially valued his advice on one particular house we really wanted to buy, but it would not have allowed for a pool at all… what a costly mistake that could have been! In addition, I assume that this must be the busiest time of year for any pool company getting ready for the Memorial day holiday. I feel indebted to Gerry for his time and we are so pleased with his amazing customer service and look forward to working with your company in future for all our pool needs.\r \r I will post a follow up review once we get to use their services.\r \r Elizabeth \r Raleigh, NC\r more

This pool project was four years in the planning. Josh was very thorough when providing us with accurate cost of concrete, electrical and pool installation. Both Josh and Jon have been very responsive which goes a long way in making the customer feel comfortable, especially with project of this size and cost. I want to extend to you and your employees a heartfelt thank you for going out of your way to help ease my frustration, and get the project that much closer to completion. Thank you for your time and patience. We will definitely recommend Rising Sun to anyone planning a pool. more

If you are new to pool ownership look no further. Our inground vinyl pool was installed about six years ago and we are happy. Even before installation we were asked to decide about coping around the pool and we hear a voice from the next room ""its one of those things that can't be done after installation"" and we decided to do it, it was absolutely the right call. \r \r We really have not spent much on chemicals or service since the initial installation. Taking water in for testing is easy and if you do need some correction they spell out the steps you need to follow to get back on track.\r \r Advice over the phone is fantastic if you have any problems or questions just let them know. This year we had some issues at opening and they have dealt with them wonderfully, phone advice to get us up and running until they could get to us (week before Memorial day!!). \r \r Service people I have talked to are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Kevin took the time to explain what he had done and to ensure that I was satisfied. \r \r I think management looks for win win situations and are one of the few companies left that don't gouge people which obviously is why they have a great reputation. \r \r I selfishly wish them continued success! more

RIsing Sun and Pete did a great job! 1/24/2013

Pete came out this morning to inspect the pool at the home we?re purchasing. Rising Sun Pools has been great to deal with over the phone and email. The real test is, however, how their employees interact with the customers? in the coustomers? home, back yard and pool deck. \r Pete took the time to explain why some things can wait and others need to be fixed right now. To a new home and pool owner, Pete taking his time and walking through what the pool was doing and not doing ? and what would need attention and fixing was just outstanding.\r Buying a home is a tremendous process and a pool ceritanly adds to the stress inintally. Rising Sun Pools and Pete did a great job and we will ceritanly be calling on you and your services again. more

We are business owners as well and appreciate RIsing Sun Pools excellent service and professionalism . First, can we tell you that we were blown-away when we received the gorgeous flower arrangement? Sounds corny, but we got the warm/fuzzy's, big time! We have been thoroughly pleased with the entire construction process (other than the rainy summer that equated to many delays) and more specifically your team. From meeting Gerry S. at the home show and our first meeting with Josh G. back in March and Jon P., Kevin (Uncle) to Kevin P., Kyle, Jason in Pool Care. You have assembled and unbelievable team! And... we must mention Darren Hilyer, Capital City Curb & Gutter and his team. Darren and his guys were professional and very accommodating! We truly believe that our backyard paradise wouldn't look as good as it does if it weren't for Darren's experience, advice & expertise! I just felt the need to write you an e-mail to say that I think your company is incredible. We bought our pool from Rising Sun in 1999 and have enjoyed it ever since. The pool was built to last and we have had only to do some minor maintenance here and there. Not only that, but when there is some small problem, your service techs are out right away to fix the problem as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. Your service techs are simply the best. I have never dealt with any company that has the level of customer service and customer satisfaction as Rising Sun Pools. Your staff has always been helpful and extremely courteous and you make a great product that you stand behind. Anyone who buys a pool anywhere else is out of their mind. more

GREAT EXPERIENCE 8/4/2011

I recieved your phone call the other day regading my feedback on my experience with your company. Here it is: \r 1) Your people. Every person we dealt with was an absolute pleasure. All had genuine smiles and appeared to enjoy their work. Vinny is a wealth of knowledge on pool chemistry & filtration, and Josh is a superb salesman. He was able to help us figure out exactly what we wanted in our pool and then translated that to the rest of the team for a beautiful end result. Both are a valuable asset to your organization. \r 2) All of our calls & emails were returned promptly. A huge plus ! \r 3) Each step of the process was thoroughly explained....especially the 'ugly' phase after installation / before concrete. \r 4) The final product is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the pool. Vinny's (or was it Josh's?) reccomendation of cutting off the tile border on the river pebble liner worked out especially well. I actually had a few people ask if it was concrete or gunite. \r \r All and all, we had a great experience, and have not hesitated to reccomend your company to our neighbors, several of which have seen our pool and decided to 'take the plunge' themselves. \r Thanks again for everything!\r \r July 11, 2011 more

I refer Rising Sun to everyone thinking about a pool 8/4/2011

I wanted an inground pool, had gone to the 3 largest pool dealers for information, quotes and design. decided to go to a local brother operation in order to help our community..however at the last moment they backed out because of some issues with them. So I contacted Josh at rising and after speaking with Mike and Tara, they picked up where the other pool place left off, with a better design and more options. They came in and did a wonderful job installing the pool and we love our pool. We have had it for 2 full seasons and have always found rising sun and their employees to be very helpful. I can't praise Sadie at the garner location enough, she knows you when you walk in and has everything ready for you and then will call to follow up that it worked. Hello Rising Sun Pools,\r I wanted to send you a quick email to let you know how very impressed I am with both crews that showed up to start and complete our pool installation yesterday and today. I?m certainly not an expert at construction, although I have performed as the general contractor for both houses we have built over the last several years. I know what it takes to coordinate projects and make sure that someone shows up to perform their job and perform it well.\r \r Hugo and Dave were excellent to work with! I?m sure that I was somewhat annoying since I?ve been here both days and the majority of the time I was actually standing out there watching just about everything they were doing. I was fascinated by how everyone on the crew knew what they had to do to get the job done. Both Hugo and Dave answered any questions I had and made sure that I was completely satisfied before they left the jobsite. \r \r Please pass along my appreciation for the installation crew and also more

Superior pool knowledge and service than any other competitor in the local vicinity. I dropped in without notice to discuss my pool problems I was having due to a competitor's installers. The General Manager Scot was very friendly and honest with my situation. He shared his knowledge and gave me the name and number of his Installer whom he has used for 13 yrs. \r \r Remember one thing folks, the pool is only part of the purchase, go with a company that uses good Installers!!!\r \r Their inventory is huge and they're family owned and operated in 3 locations in the Triangle. more
