I've been a patient for 3 yrs now and can state that they have a gentle approach towards pain management. They work with you to determine the best treatment for you that you and your instance company will approve. The procedures are done in their own ambulatory center. The entire treatment approach is great and I wouldn't go anywhere else for treatment. Pros: work with you on determining best treatment for you Cons: a little slow on stepping up the meds more

We searched for a while for a pain doctor that cared and wasn't just trying to pump my husband full of pills. Dr. Orr has been the best! Their office has improved considerably since they moved to their new office in 2008. We've only waited once since then, and it was due to an emergency situation. Solomon at the front desk is fantastic, too! We drive over an hour to see Dr. Orr, but it is WELL worth it! Pros: Wonderful doctor & office Cons: none! more

I am a 30 year old new mother who was stricken with Guillaen Barre Syndrome in 2007. I had a "so called" relapse after the birth of my son in April of 2009. Dr. Orr saw me through my pregnancy and when then relapsed happenedi i felt like a family member was taking care of me. I have never met such an intelligent unprententious doctor in my life. Before the illeness struck I was a designer, went to school for design, using my hands to do renderings and paint for enjoyment i also competed nationally in gymnastics for most of my life. This disease takes all of your coordination away, shaky hands, even walking can turn into a disaster. Dr. Orr has been so compasionate and undertanding of not only the physical pain but emotional and psycological distress. Never once has he ever not answered the phone when I call, this is also indicative of his staff especially Solomon and Kelly who has given me hugs when I am tears. Thank you again to Dr. Orr and his wonderful staff. Pros: The best Neurologist in Atlanta Cons: None more

Can there be a better doctor?! No! 7/18/2009

I've searched long for a doctor like Dr. Orr, not really believing somebody as compassionate as he is could exist (not to mention *knowing what he's doing*). Add to that a staff with people (like Solomon, for example), who not only go out of their way to help in any way they can, but know you by name and carry Dr. Orr's compassion out to the waiting room. I moved here from Oregon dreading the hunt for a new pain doctor, and it took a few years before I was finally led to Dr. Orr, but it was well-worth the wait. I honestly have never met a doctor as kind as he is, and this is the first time anybody has been able to help my chronic intractable pain *at the source*. I don't care if I do move again someday, I will find a way to travel back to keep Dr. Orr as my doctor. Today: uh oh, my first problem with S.E. Pain Specialists: I couldn't get to their website. But, I'm glad I was directed to this page so I could add to the list of people who love this clinic, even tho' it seems we're in competition as to who's the greatest doctor. I don't know what that last guy's problem was b/c he didn't explain a thing so, imo, he just wanted to mess up the ratings. I'm surprised there aren't a lot more 5 stars on here. Seems like too often we're ready to take the time to complain when something's wrong, but not enough times do we let the truly awesome people who come into our lives know how much they are appreciated. By the way, if they used to have long waits in the past, it was probably while they were still in the tiny office. They've moved "up" and it is a beautiful & extremely comfortable place, and the only time I've EVER had to wait was when I asked to be worked into the schedule on a day I didn't have an appointment. They found time for me. I certainly don't expect the others who had appts. that day to have to wait because of me. Pros: Great staff & doctor, easily accessible w/good parking Cons: None that I've discovered! more

He's a great doctor in terms of pain management and medical care, and he has a compassionate bedside manner. LONG wait (3-5 hours) to see him, though, and he's a bit disorganized in getting necessary documentation provided to patients for insurance purposes (LTD, etc.). So, I recommend him for medical care, but I also recommend you bring a good book and a great deal of patience with you when you come. Pros: Easy parking, compassionate staff Cons: Long wait to see the doc more

Since my neck injury 2 years ago I have had the pleasure of visiting several doctors in the Atlanta area. Dr. Rollins and his staff are the best by far of any I have ever seen. He is a wonderful, caring person who will take as much time as it takes to explain the procedures, your injury, or any other information you need. I am so thankful to the doctor who referred me to him. If you are looking for a pain doctor you will not find a better place to go. I have recommended him to everyone I know with this problem. They are also the most knowledgeable and advanced doctors in the area of pain management. The injections I have received from Dr. Rollins are the first relief I have had in 2 years. Don't waste your time with the rest-go to the best-Dr. Rollins. more

A Great Doctor that Cares 12/25/2006

Dr. Doherty showed a great deal of concern for me, my pain problem and the possibility of addiction to the medication I needed. He explained the process of pain, down to a molecular level, and how it affects a person mentally and physically and he also explained the effects of medication, how the body can build a resistance and how a person's family history plays a part in all of these things. When there was a need to lower the amount of meds, he gave me something to help with possible withdrawal symptoms. I had seen a few Doctors before him and been given epidurals by the ones who did not treat me like I was just looking for pills. The epidurals given by Dr.Doherty were the most effective in relieving my pain. I think that, in itself, demonstrated great skill with his technique, placing the needle exactly where it needed to go. I feel the same way about Dr.Rollins who is also at SE Pain. I think the rest of the staff at Southeastern Pain are professional and caring and regret that I had to move. I won't find another Doctor or facility that will treat me that well. Pros: Ample parking that is free, discreet on the phone, TV in the waiting room. Cons: Sometimes there is a long wait. more
