Rick is very good neighborhood mechanic and I have been going to him for many years because of competency and very honesty. Nothing fancy, just a good mechanic. I would much rather go to Rick than the Toyota dealership!!! more

Took my 97 Civic Hatch EK9 to have head gasket replaced. Between sending out the head to a machine shop and other customers, it took roughly a month to get back, at first I did not mind because 1, the bill was was tremendously cheap imo! and 2, the car came back better then when I had bought it! After a day or so the car pooped out and would not start, after a quick inspection of the engine it appeared to be the gasket again, just had it towed back yesterday as Rick promised to correct anything wrong. Hope it comes back the way it did when I first picked it up, I'll definitely be a happy man! more

I called on a Thursday to ask when a good time would be to bring my van in for a tuneup and to have it looked over. Rick told me to bring it in Tuesday between 8 and 9.\r \r After over a week of calling to find out what was going on with the van and repeatedly having his assistant tell me ""Ah yes, we're still doing inspections,"" I finally went and got it back. They hadn't done anything to it, and their inspections didn't reveal anything Jiffylube hadn't already told me about after a 15 minute inspection.\r \r ""Severely disappointing"" puts my experience mildly. more

Honda & Accura Auto Service 6/8/2007

I've used Rick's several times now to fix my old 1988 Accord. Rick and his partner James are honest technicians who have always gotten the job done at a reasonable rate (labor is about $60/hr). Rick has never charged me until he knows exactly what he thinks the problem is, and I've never been jerked around. Shopper beware, though: I don't think he uses genuine Honda parts. If this is of issue to you, be sure to ask for him to special order it (or pick it up & have him install it). Rick also has amassed a number of junker cars over the past few years that folks have left for service and never picked up (he should call a towing company & get rid of them), but it has never seemed to keep him from getting the job done. more
