Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego La Jolla

I have stayed at the Residence inn in La Jolla twice now, for a total of 10 weeks. I have no complaints at all! The staff is excellent! The suites are great! They breakfast buffet is nothing like a typical continental breakfast.. They serve dinner Mon- Wed nights also.. Free Beer and Wine and karaoke once a month.. \r They have several hot tubs and a pool..\r My fianc?e is staying there for 9 months and has almost all the comforts of home.. Full kitchen, living room area and lots of closet space .. King size bed and pull out couch.. \r Anything you need, just call the front desk.. They grocery shop for you and do your laundry and dry cleaning also.. They also offer room service thru a company that delivers just about anything..\r Very upscale location and no seedy motels nearby or ""ladies of the night"" like many other hotels cater to.. This is a family / long term/ business traveler friendly hotel with 2 bedroom units available..\r I love it there and can't wait to return! more

My friends with 2 little kids stayed here last year and it turned out well.\r \r They were able to have a full kitchen and refrigerator and space to spread out. I think there was also a free buffet breakfast.\r \r I probably wouldn't choose it for myself but would definitely recommend it for families. more

We had family stay here and they were disappointed that the ambiance of the location was not nicer for being in La Jolla. It is fine for business travelers, especially those staying for extended times, but if you are looking for something charming or near the beach, this is not your best choice. It is near UCSD if you are visiting there and don't plan to stay in your room much. more
