When using Rent-Max, please understand that when a house is put with the service, Rent-Max is unable to appraise,inspect or show property for anyone. That means that no matter how good bad or ugly something is, they have it. You also must keep in mind that Rent-Max is ADVERTISING for the landlords.....the homes are not Rent-Max homes. That means that its the companies job to provide every option available to each client it serves, not matter what those homes may be or look like. Rent-Max has been in business for over 13 years and works with anywhere between 850 to over 1000 available homes at any given time. Look in any local paper and you will see that Rent-Max works with 75% of everything in there, so unless you want to live in an apartment complex...Rent-Max is the best bet for any single family housing in the area. The service charge you pay is minimal compared to the monthly prices of the homes, the amount of money you save on move-costs, and the overall selection of homes they have that you will never see anywhere else. Its also clearly stated when you talk to them that its not a one day service...which means they work with you every day until you rent something. Its impossible to expect that you are going to rent the perfect home within one day of looking. Jumping into the first thing you see is definitely not the best idea...thats why when i move i give myself 30 days to look...which is the same amount of time they guarantee you a home in. All i can say is that i use their service every time i move and ive never had a problem, ive always gotten the best homes, and they always treat me right...so i give them 5 stars. more

When we first moved to the Shreveport/Bossier area we had trouble finding a place with three bedrooms and still affordable. We finally went to Rent Max because it sounded like a good thing. We got there and paid and got our list of houses and we spent all day looking at garbage. All of the houses were run down and in bad neghborhoods. We never went back and new we wouldn't get a refund because it was a waste of time to keep calling. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They just take your money. more

We went to them after reading some great Adds for Rental Properties in the Local Area. We had just moved here so we didn't know where to begin. They charge you a Fee that they tell you is refundable. We told them what Area we were looking at which was around the Base and they gave us a List of Houses available. OMG most of those Houses looked so run down I wouldn't let a Dog live in them. We ended up taking a Apt that I had found while still in Ks and told them I wanted my $ back (it was about $60 something). They said that since I didn't call every Day for 30 Days I wouldn't get a Refund. I also told them about the Properties they offered us and all we were told is that they don't check what they get! They steal your $!!! more

When we first moved here we were going to go through them thank goodness we didn't give them any money. We went up to talk to them and the place didn't even look like any kind of buisness we wanted to be dealing with so we left. Have only heard negative thing about them since. more
