The hairstylists at this salon are WONDERFUL! I have moved away from the Birmingham area, but still go to this salon from the Atlanta area. It's hard to find someone else that you can trust to do your hair as much as I trust the stylists here. I have had my hair completely restyled from long to short and had my hair colored there. The stylist/owner of this salon has been doing my hair for about 6 years. I have NEVER had a bad cut or color at this salon. In fact, since using this salon I have had more compliments on my hair than ever in my life. The stylist has given me long styles, short styles, bangs, no bangs, heavy highlights, light highlights, and even died my hair a deep brown (which looked amazing). She knows me, she knows my hair and she knows what she's doing. She can choose an appropriate style or color depending on each individual. She is SUPER GREAT! I wouldn't normally review my own business (well, yes I would, I would just do it under a different name:) But I feel I have to respond to patargo's terrible review. I think she was confused as to which salon she had patronized. I have owned this business since March of 2006 and in that time, have never employed a nail technician. Just wanted to clear that up! more

I love this salon - the people there are great! The owner cuts my hair and she does a great job. I always get compliments on my hair and haircuts - at least, since I started going there. Even so, what I like best about this place are the people. The girls there are great - they really make you feel at home. I don't like doing anything too drastic with my hair, and they understand that. I never feel pressured to try anything I may regret later - they help me understand what will look best on me. Renaissance is under great management now, and I have to say that not only have they worked with me on payment and appointment time, but the girl I go to there has never ever given me a bad style -- and I've been going for about 4 years. I trusted her to take me from long hair, which I had for years, to very short. From no bangs to bangs. I am about to ask her to color my hair for the first time in my life - she's that good. And not only have I been getting compliments for years, but every person I recommend her to who tries, stays there faithfully. Nails schmails, get your hair cut and colored here, you won't regret it. (p.s. I shop around and over the last few years I've tried several other stylists. None ""knew"" my hair like my girl here.) more

I had a manicure and pedicure from this spa and it was disasterous. The nail tech was very inattentive to my requests and seemed to take short cuts. She did some things to the right foot that she did not do to the left foot. She had her child with her and I felt I had to leave before my pedicure was dry and it ruined the polish. She was in a hurry to get to her baby sitter. She filed down my nails. I have never had anyone to do this just for a manicure. My thumb nail is still sore from being filed into the quick. I thought this was only done for acrylic or gel. The nail tech has been there for two weeks to be fair and the child was charming. My manicure lasted one day. Pedicure was ok, thought she did not file the ends of any of my nails or cut any of them and they needed it. Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Not good parking either. more
