It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Nice hotel, but not the best in Pgh 9/13/2010

Good hotel - we like it if we are in town for the theater or the football game for convenience. It seems like recently it is trying to convert to a more contemporary look, which doesn't seem to suit the architecture or location...save that for the W line. Bed mattresses are a bit tired for the rest of room. Nice, but not the best in Pgh. We are going to the Fairmont next time for a look. more

Wonderful elegant hotel for in and out of town guests 6/20/2006

The Renaissance Pittsburgh is one of my favorite hotels in the United States. I have averaged well over one hundred nights per year in luxury hotels for many years and have continued to find this hotel to be a warm inviting place for business and personal needs. I have stayed in the Renaissance at least three times per year since it opened and seen it only improve.\r \r The rooms have all been spacious and well appointed with the little touches (Chocolates, spring water, extra soft towels) that make the experience much more enjoyable. The extremely high ceilings in the rooms and the number of windows provide a feeling of airiness and space that many hotel rooms lack. They are rooms that you can look forward to going back to after a long day. I would, and have, recommended this hotel to business and personal guests and have had nothing but wonderful reviews. It has helped to change somewhat antiquated views of the region to visitors.\r \r Keep up the excellent work in this gem of a hotel.\r Pros: Atmosphere, Ambiance, Staff Cons: The price has been increasing but still a good value more

Worth the rating 5/2/2003

My girlfriend and I have visited some of the best hotels in NYC, and this one compares with all of them. The lobby is classy, and the rooms are beautiful. The bed is the like sleeping on a cloud. Right next door to the Bynam and you can park across the steeet for $3 a night. Try that in NYC. Pros: location, class more

Luxury!!! 3/26/2003

This is definiteyly the most romantic and luxurious hotel in Pittsburgh. I make it a point to stay nowhere else when I'm in town. Pros: Location, Service, Amenities more

An amazing place to stay! 8/14/2002

Unfortunately, I only got to stay here one night (for a friend's wedding) but it was one of my best hotel stays ever. The whole place is elegant and romantic. The staff was great - courteous and efficient. The building is great. The lobby alone was amazing. The rooms were very nice too-- very luxurious. The next time I stay I'll spring or one of the rooms on the top corners of the building -- one that I visited had a huge private patio overlooking the city. In case you're curious, the catering at the reception was incredible as well. My meal tasted as if it was cooked for me alone, not as one of 200. Pros: romantic, excellent service, great location more

SIMPLY THE BEST!! 7/29/2002

As a frequent traveler to the great city of Pittsburgh this hotel by leaps-and-bounds is the finest in the city. The hotel is impeckable and the service is unmatched in the city or the rest of the country for that matter. On a scale of 1 to 10 this place rates a 42!!! The incredible service and hospitality will blow you away!!! The staff truly makes you feel like you are the most important guest in the place. The bridge bar is great, they make a fantastic tom collins and Opus is WONDERFUL! The quality of materials in the rooms is just great, everything is top notch. I give this place my highest ranking!!! Trust me, 1 night here and you will never go to another hotel. Pros: The staff, Beautiful room, Great atmosphere more

Best greet in town! 6/27/2002

Outstanding service right from the beginning. Being our first stay, the concierge explained everything we would need to know for our one night stay. Once we got to our room we were very satisfied. We asked for different pillows (allergies) and they were brought up in less than 2 minutes. Service was outstanding, location couldn't have been better. We only stayed one night, so we didn't take full advantage of what was available, but overall it was a great stay in the 'Burgh. Pros: Location, Parking, Service Cons: Cost, Small Room (cheapest), View (cheapest) more

Finicky Philadelphian 5/28/2002

Flew in to see a Pirates game and had the best hotel experience of our lives. Th most comfortable room with top quality bedding, mattress and pillows. Great view of the stadium which we could walk to and from without traffic or the threat of crime. The lobby bar was friendly and convenient. Who would of thought we'd be planning a reurn trip to the Steel City? Well,. after this experience...we are! Try this once and you be back. Pros: View, location, room quality more
