Regina's Maids

Regina's Maid service has got to be the worst service ever. They break things, leave dirty rags behind, leave cleaning solution on your wood without wiping it off, decide when they want to show up and then decide to take all you products home with them. The worst service ever! Not to mention they must not have know that I was Puerto Rican and could totally understand everything they were saying as they were discussing how disgusting it was to have a dog right in front of me. No class, and worst of all a waste of money. more

We had our house cleaned back in June '08. They are now (Oct '08) trying to collect sales tax months later. This is their issue to deal with now. They are very rude to talk to. Besides their service is horrible. Not one of the "maids" spoke english. Did not mop all of the floors as directed. Dust still remained in corners. There is another service we now use that is great. Pros: cheap Cons: you get what you pay for! more

This place is the worst. They show up very late, don't notify you and are rude (the management not the employees). If you're going to give me a 4 hour time slot and not show up, at least you can NOTIFY me in advance and not make me call you. OH YEAH --- they always make excuses for why they are late and tell you they will be there in a few minutes. Then they show up even later. They flat out lie. May they go out of business. I used Regina's Maids 3 times. The first time they did a good job. The second time they did not show up between 8 and 12 as promised. After calling them several times and being told each time that they would be there in 5 minutes, they finally came between 90 and 120 minutes late. The third time I hired them, they did not show up again between 8 and 12. I called them at 1 and was told somebody would be there soon. As they had told me this the last time and taken an extra hour to arrive and as I did not have time, I cancelled. On mentioning this to the manager she told me that it was not a "no show" but that it was my fault for cancelling. She explained that lateness is normal and beyond her control. She offered to do nothing for me. Lastly, note that somebody from her company called me within 10 minutes saying that they were on their way (2 days late -- on the wrong day). So, in short, if you want to waste your day waiting for these people and have them act like they have all the right in the world to act this way, hire them. The women do a great job of cleaning but the management is inept, incompetent, rude, entitled and devoid of any clue as to how somebody operates a respectful business that knows how to deal with customers. I feel bad for the employees of this ridiculously badly-run business. You will save more time if you clean your place up yourself. I hired Regina's Maids to clean a carpet. The person cleaning the carpet could barely understand english (but that was to be expected). The process made the air in the room toxic. Open windows all day for a couple days and an air filter running continously in the room. But before I made the connection between the chemicals used and my swollen lymph nodes in my neck whenever I was in the room, I came down with a horrible upper respiratory thing. If you have pets, children or are chemically sensitive, don't hire them. more

What a relief to get rid of Regina's Maids after two years of cleaners arriving late (if at all), breaking things, and typically doing a poor job. We were obviously lazy about finding a better service. That turned out to be easily done, but we were only inspired when management showed a complete lack of interest in hearing complaints from longtime customers. more

I had been trying to find a great, reliable maid service in Jersey City for years and walked past a Regina's Maids van one day a block from my apartment. From the first call until the day I moved (yesterday), they were wonderful taking care of the silly little things my husband and I didn't have time for. Now, I only wish they came to NYC! more
