My son recently held his wedding on Shelter Island and we chose the Red Sails Inn to host our Rehearsal Dinner. We had eaten here a few times while making the arrangements and were very impressed with the meals, the service and the venue. All of the wedding guests were from out of town and many took our recommendation to dine here, repeatedly. On Thursday evening we had a walk in party of 22, asked for and received outside seating, and were served in an efficient manner by servers who did not seem to be the least bit distressed by the unannounced large party. Saturday night was our ?planned? dinner. We had made the reservation for 20 ? 25; the group grew to be in excess of 40 with almost no notice. Again, no problem, a second row of tables was set on the patio and we enjoyed the view and the cordiality of the Red Sails staff all evening.
