Red Balloon Bookstore is a truly great experience. The story times are great, and they even give away door prizes and have crafts sometimes. The bookstore has a wonderful selection and is very attractive for the kids. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Great place to shop for books! more

charming shop 9/8/2005

If you have or know children who love to read, or if you just love children's books, this is the place for you. It's a charming shop on charming Grand Avenue with a charming selection--what more could you ask for? Seriously, though, the building that the bookstore is housed in is actually an old house, and it makes for the perfect bookshop setting. The surroundings are also equally charming--once you have your book, go grab a cup of coffee or a pastry and walk up and down Grand Avenue just to soak in the sights and sounds. this place is truly enjoyable. more

If your children love to read or be read to, or if you'd like to encourage them to read, the Red Balloon Bookshop is a great place to visit. Specializing in children's books, this large, attractive store has literature in every genre you could think of, from adoption to sports to general fiction. And since the entire store is geared toward children, your kids will love to visit. The Red Balloon also hosts a number of events, from workshops to story hour, so it's a neat place to meet and socialize with other children and parents. more

Lot's of good books and dolls 8/18/2005

The Red Balloon is a good shop for kids’ gifts. It is primarily loaded with a large variety of children’s books, but also has quite a few interesting and classic toys. This is a good place if you’re looking for that Raggedy Ann/Andy or Curious George doll. The staff there has always been really helpful in helping me find the right thing. more

Large collection of books 8/7/2005

This is the bookstore that will be liked by everyone.They feature lots of interesting events like flying paper airplanes .They have storytime for kids.This book store carries over fifty thousand books, audio, video tapes and toys for children from birth to junior high school age.they also offer teacher/parent events, visiting authors and a book-of-the-month club.All book lovers should visit this store atleast once. more
