I rented an apt from Cambridge Realty with a Sect. 8 voucher and it was the worst rental experience I have ever had! I lived in the apt for 3 years and repairs took 1-2 months to be fixed.I talked to someone in ""maintenance"" who told me that it was fixed already. Then, several inspections failed year after year because the very same repairs were not done and Cambridge Realty's rental pymts from Sect 8 were put in abatement. Cambridge Realty had the nerve to summons me to court for the amount of rent that Sect 8 refused to pay until all repairs were done. I had to have Sect 8 call to tell them that they could not hold me responsible for them not making the repairs. I would never rent to them again and would never recommend them. I applied for a unit my application was approved, because I am on a Federally Funded Housing Program the unit I was to rent had to be inspected. Cambridge Realty World allowed the unit to be inspected, however the unit didn't meet HUD standards, Cambridge Realty advised me that they would complete repairs and have HUD reinspect the unit. While waiting on reinspection Cambridge Realty World rented the unit to someone else without notifying me. I was able to find this out because of the professionalism from another company. If Cambridge Realty World wasn't going to follow through with reinspection I should have been notified and my application withdrawn and monies refunded. This happening caused me and my 2 children to be homeless for 2 months while I located another unit. I think they handled the situation very unprofessional and uncaring... Then had the nerve to ask me could they assist me with another property I THINK NOT.... Pros: N/A Cons: N/A more
