Editorial review from Citysearch 3/13/2013

Reading Gymnastics has the best coaches and a great up to date facility. They go over and above to help the young gymnast learn. Their teams are always winning, yet you never hear any yelling by the coaches. The best news - they will be moving to a newer, larger facility around the end of June. They have not said where - other than either Woburn or North Reading. According to what I have heard - they are expecting to make the big announcement within the next couple of weeks. They always have huge waiting list to take their excellent classes.\r I take my 3 children - ages 2, 6 and 9 - (2 girls, 1 boy) at various times during the week. I always see the place being cleaned, at both ends of the day and in-between. FYI - I heard that Gymstreet is not doing so good. more

Reading Gymnastics has so much potential. It is unfortunate that they can not do anything with the place.\r \r The good part of RGA is the coaches who, for the most part, are kind and caring (some pretty unmovited and seemingly disinterested though).\r \r Communication from RGA is terrible and the facility itself is in very poor condition. Some things appear unsafe. It is dirty and not well kept. The owner is not interested in parental feedback and/or making improvements. With three kids taking classes there, I couldn't even get a return phone call about scheduling a birthday party. The waiting areas are small, crowded/cramped and do not lend themselves to watching the kids during their practices. They have tiny viewing areas that parents crowd around and no one can see their child(ren). Poor attempts were made to install viewing ""screens"" but they rotate and you can never see your child. the waiting area of full of germy, old disgusting toys.\r \r With other facilities nearby that are large, accommodating, parent friendly and have more to offer (i.e., b'day parties, parent classes, wi-fi, good viewing, etc.) my recommendation would be to skip RGA and invest in a place that is more current and family-friendly, such as Gym Street or Yellow Jackets. more
