Editorial review from Citysearch 10/9/2013

Living in the park for over ten years now, I have had it. When I first moved in, it was considered a gated community and the gates were closed to outsiders all the time. You could not just drive into the park. But the last few years that has changed and the gates to the community are open during daytime hours. This has created an ongoing problem of thefts and break-ins, where as before this was a relatively low crime neighborhood. Since 2004 there have been a few home invasions, a shooting AND a homicide. \r \r Rent has doubled in ten years, and yet, the park doesn't keep up with important maintenance. The streets outside are cracking badly, the water and electricity are constantly being shut down for maintenance and are off sometimes for days. God forbid if you have an elderly person or child who requires medical devices that need to be plugged in. The worst part is it's always when the weather is at its worst. \r \r Then there is the issue with not enforcing the tenets to keep up their homesites up or unruly pets. When moving in the tenets signs an agreement that says they must have all homesites landscaped and completed in 90 days. The park will go after some people, and not others for their mess. Some homeowners aren't doing this and it devalues their neighbors property. One tenet has had his yard a mess for more than three years since he moved in and still has not done much to fix it up. it's comparable to living next door to a dump. Not to mention a few people who have some pretty nasty dogs that bark constantly. \r \r I have had it and if I could I would move, but being that I am retired and on a fixed income, it isn't going to happen anytime soon. more

Authority Crazed Management 7/27/2010

After my cay was missing for a few days, I posted LOST signs, but they were removed hours later. When I called the management to find out if they were removed for some reason, I was told it was against the rules. Although I do understand this rule, I was frustrated, and hung up on the manager Mike. He left the office and drove to my home within minutes, going on about the fact that he shouldnot be hung up on. Very aggresive about his deserved ""respect"" and ""authority"" I was told I could not post lost signs, and couldn not distribute them, but I could give him $20 for him to do so. I walked away, frustrated. Later I went to my surrounding neighbors(who are kind) and asked if they had seen her. Mike started following me, and yelling that I could not ask my neighbors or show them her picture, and that he was going to call the police. When I ignored his threats he became very angry and threatenedd me with physical force, got out of his vehical and came after me. I went home, upset over my cat, frustrated over the entire situation, and feeling very threatened. I wish I had stood my ground, and let him hit me, I also wish I was allowed to talk to my neighbors, who I know, and talk to on a normal basis. Mikes authoritarian attitude is very disturbing, and knowing that most mobile home parks are in great need of residents I would highly recommend looking itno one with a more courtious, less aggresive management. Pros: quiet, friendly neighbors Cons: aggresive, threatening management more
