I don't rent from Ramled, but I do live next to a building managed by Ramled. Want to make life a bit difficult for them like they have for you? At 7215 Balson Ave in University City, MO the grass is over a foot tall. Feel free to call the the city hall at (314) 505-8534 and complain about the grass. Maybe they will get slapped with a big fine. more

Ramled will force you to live in an apartment that will make you sick, degrade your health and refuse to fix any problems. Then they will try to trap you into a lease for another several months. Since they don't maintain there equipment your utility bills will be outrageous. As a result you will slip slowly into debt. There are laws about these things people. It's time to unite against the Man and send them a message. If you've been burnt reply to this. When we get enough people we will send Ramled a message they can't ignore. Also complain to University City at (314)505-6767. Enough complaints will cause issue for Ramled. more

I showed up at Ramled's office to sign the lease and pick up my keys the day my moving truck was arriving form across the country. After corresponding with Ramled for weeks, they told me for the first time then that i would have to sign waver that i am aware that there is lead paint in the apartment. I was furious! I had no place else to go, the workers were gonna unload all the furniture into the sidewalk, i had no choice but to sign the forms and move in. What a mistake. My husband and I wake up with nosebleeds on a daily basis. My husbands allergies and asthma have been debilitating, he is constantly gasping for breath and using his inhaler, even though he hasn't used one since ninth grade. And this is the apartment that Ramled said was their nicest! The walls don't meet the floor, there's quarter inch gap in every room. Which not only makes it IMPOSSIBLE to keep the place warm (which is why Ramled includes heat) but also infests my apartment with centipedes and spiders. And this is their nicest apartment. When any tenant in the entire building flushes the toilet, the shower water turns into a little drip for at least 30 seconds. They don't clean the snow, like the law requires. None of the air conditioners fit the windows so there are inch wide gaps surrounding all the units, where bugs and flies come right in through. Every few days i have to change the paper towels that I plugged the gap with. What a disaster. Learn from my mistake. Women, protect your fertility, everyone, protect your respiratory system. Dont move in to an apartment with lead paint. more

I have been renting from Ramled enterprises for almost a yr now and I can not wait until my lease is up. Dont be fooled by their cheap prices, for the area. You pay for what you get. Ramled doesnt complete anything in a timely mannor and I feel that they are not taking care of their tenants as they should. None of my windows open, and their is no ventilation in the kitchen. When I contacted Ramled about my windows, they sent a maintanence worker out who's reply was It cant be done because all of the windows were painted shut. His suggestion was to call when ever I needed to open a window and in a day or 2 would send someone out to use a razor blade, a candle, and a hammer to attempt to open them. I was also told upon moving in that during the winter months they re to have someone out to shovel the walkways and drive way. This winter they have only shovelled the walkway from the door to the sidewalk days after it snowed. When asked to shovel the driveway I was told that they werent sure if they could. My car sat in the driveway for almost 5 days before I could get help getting out of the driveway. The maintence workers appear to have to prior experience at all. Within the same month I had awaken to find that my bathroom was flooded. There was literally a whole above the bathroom mirror, and water was gushing out. I then went upstairs to my neighbor to let her know about the water coming downstairs. She had a broken pipe that she had requested they fix. Their way of fixing her broken pipe in the bathroom was to wrap electrical tape over it, which of course wouldnt hold up. So as a result there is severe water damage in the bathroom, along with evident water damage from previous yrs. I could push my finger through the wall because of the water damages. Instead of trying to fix the wall and checking for mold damage, which I am sure there is, they quickly patched it up before the walls had even dried. As for the last and final straw, last Tueday I noticed that my refridgerator wasnt as cold as it normally is. When I checked the fredge I notice my food was defrosting. I followed up with Ramled enterprises the following wednesday and they sent someone out. The person they sent out of course couldnt fix my refridgerator. So I followed up with them Thursday morning and they said they would have a 3rd party company come out to see if the could fix it. The 3rd party company came out Saturday afternoon and also could not fix it. According to the 3rd party company I was assured that my landlord would contact me shortly. A whole week goes by since the original contact date of wednesday Feb. 23rd and I hadnt been contacted. Thurdays March 3, 2011 I called the Ramled once again.. They had forgotten all about me. I was livid. They finally got someone to set up a time for a new refridgerator to be sent out. By then, all of my food had gone bad, since my refridgerator was blowing out warm air. So like any other person would do, I asked if there was any way I could be compensated. Especially since they obviously dropped the ball on getting my refridgerator taken care of. The owner Delmar Poe's response was We won't compensate for any lost food, your food shouldn't have gone bad withing a week."" I want to know who's food doesnt go bad within a week? According to the USDA most food unless it has been cooked for the most part only has a shelve life, without refridgeration for 1-2 days. Ramled enterprises obviously doesnt care about the well being of their tenants. I would NEVER rent from them again and I intend to run out of their apartment as soon as my lease is up. more

While the locations that Ramled offers are convenient, the living conditions at times can be a nightmare. As a current resident, I look forward to the end of my lease. Maintenance issues are usually fixed, but half-assed. We currently have poop/pee/toilet paper water running out of a broken vertical stack. The solution from Ramled staff was to tape the hole. Guees what, water and other stuff still coming out. Want to take a hot shower, well better hope no one touches any other source of water in your apartment or any others, otherwise hot shower goes cold, then back to burning hot. I would love to post photos here, will try to figure it out. Staff at the office appears nice on the front, but they could give a damn less. Owner, Delmar Poe, drives a beautiful, clean, shiny Lexus, if only he put that kind of care into his buildings, he would have much happier tenants. more

Our ""damages,"" including nail holes that existed before we moved in, added up to $300 but we got $400 deducted in damages without any explanation for the extra amount - Ramled just deducted an additional $100 without explanation. The $300 in listed damages included things like ""dirty floor"" and ""dirty bathtub"" after my roommates and I spent multiple days scrubbing everything. Cons: Ramled will take SO much of your security deposit! more

After renting from ramled for three years and not being late on rent once, I lost my job and was unable to continue to live in their property. I had unfortunately signed a year lease the month before. They said they would try to find someone to take my place, which I believe is BS. They would not let me buy out of my lease at any price. I moved out that month. After moving out and paying an addition 6 months rent they are still coming after me for more money. I explained my situation but they have no sympathy. I know it is a business but the owner cares nothing about his tenants so stay away from ramled. Pros: maintaince issues taken care of Cons: not willing to work with you and old properties more

I love the space I get for the rent. Very cheap for the space. For the rent I feel like I can't complain about anything. I called today because the heat was out, and within 10 minutes someone was out to light the pilot. I had a dripping AC, and they didn't get out as quick, but again were out fast. I don't feel like they mow as much as I would like, but more than most renters would expect. I actually bought a cheap mower and keep mine cut myself as I spend alot of time outside. Pros: Cheap Cons: Places are a little run down, but more than usable. more

Our AC is broke but they can't get to it, fuses are always blowing when use a blowdryer can barely use the microwave. Basement flooded, they cleaned it up but left the flood trash in a box in the basement, uncovered sewer holes... Sun porch leaks... They also let psycho neighbors move in. ramled is the worst landlord. my place was incredibly dismal. the walls and the cielings do not match up, there is about a 2 inch gap between the two. there is water damage everywhere. and dont forget the very unpleasant insects that have taken over the entire building and even after having a guy come and spray the building twice, it seemed that the insects became more immune and reprodueced even more rapidly. they get into everything! i had to check my shoes and all my clothes before hand. i even had to resort to sleeping on my futon because they had invaded my bedroom. lets not mention how many albino insects ive seen. the genetic pool is not very wide. the staff at ramled are nice people, but incompetent. i always made sure to have a second copy of my rent before i gave it to them because they appear to be very unorganized, lets not mention that they still use computers from the early 90s. its quite a site to see that the owner delmar poe, go figure that only a fool would name his company by spelling is name backwards, that his porsche is immaculate and yet he cant take care of his buildings. that just goes to show you what type of tool this guy is. karma will come back to him. living in a building owned by them steals your soul. all my neighbors are extremely depressing and the building themselves are falling apart and im surprised that they even pass inspection. although the rent may be cheap, there are plenty of other places that will offer you much better service. i have counted down the days until i am able to leave, luckily it has arrived. Do not rent from ramlead. They are the cheaper of the rental companies in St. Louis but don't be tempted. They do not maintain their heating and cooling units which caused discomfort and HUGE gas bills. Please ask the utility company for a statement about prior gas and electric usage. The maintence people are nice but they are just regular guys and the owner will not pay for proper maintence. The maintence crew uses things like string and tape to hide and fix things. I have rented a lot of apartments over the years and these were the worst landlords I have ever encountered. It took forever for any maintenance to be done. Our furnace did not work the entire time we lived there, we would keep it at 66 or 68 and the temp in the house would be 45 during the winter. The Laclede gas guy said that our furnace should be condemned and he actually turned it off until they performed the appropriate maintenace on it, which they never did they just removed his condemned sticker and turned it back on themselves. They were rude, condescending, unhelpful and all in all awful people to deal with, there was one relatively friendly person in the office but she had no decision making power so she really couldn't be that helpful. Also the only person that was authorized to make decisions was the owner and no one was allowed to meet with him. You had to rely on his unfriendly staff to tell him what your problems were. When I asked why I wasn't allowed to speak to him she compared him to the owner of a large company like Lacled Gas and said you wouldn't be able to talk to them so why should you be able to talk to the owner of Ramled. I was astounded that she made that comparison. Ramled has about 6 employees including the owner, you can see him in his office if you go to their offices but you aren't allowed to speak to him! We ended up paying to get out of our lease early just so we would not have to deal with them any more. Don't rent from Ramled! more

Absolutely do not rent trhough Ramled. I cannot emphasize that enough. My toliet does not work well; I called them to fix it twice and they came and did a crappy job. Used string to try to tie the parts together. Inadequate wiring; always blowing a fuse!!! Terribly mainained. Don't rent through them. more
