Worst

Beware. 7/26/2019

Half the “nurses” are something else. No one in the lab had any formal training—they hire people through a temp agency to get through inspections. Every employee hears the dinner bell at 1130. Ridiculous. The drive to Wilmington is worth it more

Avoid - Poor Patient Follow-Up Care 5/21/2014

I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I saw Dr. Stall who was helpful and informative enough during the appointment. When post appointment blood work showed different results than what Dr. Stall originally predicted, a nurse called to inform me that I would need further tests. When I asked the purpose of the tests, what they would show, what my current tests were showing, what getting more tests would help discover, the nurse had no answers and was defensive of my questioning the doctors recommendations. When I called back and asked to have the Dr. call me, I was informed that the only person I was allowed to speak to was his nurse. If you want to take an active role in your health care, I would avoid this practice. They are a large practice that has lost sight of patient care. more

Wait Time is Awful 3/5/2014

I have never waited so long to get into an appointment as I do here. Over an hour wait after my initial appointment time. If the doctor cannot be on time the staff should call and push back the appointment. We as patients are expected to be on time but the doctors can take their time. They need to schedule 30-40 minutes for each appointment more

awful office staff 9/9/2012

Office staff makes up appointments and charges you for them, rude on phone, absolutely ridiculous. Should have listened when I was warned against their too big office. more

Time and Interest 6/28/2012

I have been seeing Dr Berlin for about a year and a half. I drive from Youngsvill, approximately l hr each way. Thats 2 hours. Then to wait an hour in the waiting. They then take you back and get your vitals and sit you in the exam room for another 45 mins. He comes in apologizes for being late he; he had to help some one with a pump and he'll be right back. Or he was teaching or he's got to speak to the nurse. I believe Dr Berlin is a great dr who really knows his stuff and continues to learn how better to care for his patients. Yet every time I go its 4 hrs drive time and 2 hours time, And there is always some on complains at the desk that they have been here ??hrs and other appointments. If I called to say I was running two hrs late, would I still be seen that day. My time is as important as any one else. And I don't think Dr Berlin knows my name till he looks at my file, not my face. more

Dr. Berlin 6/7/2012

I have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Berlin on two occasions recently as a new patient. I am very happy with my experience. Dr. Berlin did not rush the visits, nor did he leave me wondering what he was thinking as it pertains to my health. Not only is he very thorough in his examinations, but he also has great interpersonal skills. Dr. Berlin took the time needed to discuss his thoughts and answer my questions. I especially appreciate the fact that he took the time to thoroughly update my medical records to reflect that day's activities and discussions. Dr. Berlin takes the stress out of the visit. I would highly recommend him to any of my family and/or friends. more

Dr. Berlin 12/28/2009

This is the best Dr. I have ever been to. For 9 years I have been saying my Thyroid was not right. I changed my Primary Dr. this year and got on Thyroid meds my hair started to fall out and I started to pack on even more weight. I saw Dr. Berlin in Oct. he did blood work changed my meds went back today had not gained anymore weight and can see hair coming back he is AWESOME. He listens doesn't rush you or look at you like things are in your mind or he wishes you would hush so he could be on his way. It is worth the extra co-pay I have to go to him he is the best!!!!!!!! more

Dr. Berlin is phenomenal!! 4/20/2009

Good: Dr. Berlin takes the time during every appointment to go over all of the details and Q&A required for a thorough treatment plan. He treats me for both diabetes and hypothroidism...and has both under control. His recomendation for a surgeon was spot on and I was able to have an intricate thyoidectomy without any complications.. Bad: The office staff initially appeared to be disorganized (summer of '08), but they have hired a new office manager who is really making a difference. You can already see a significant improvement in the attention to detail and customer service.. Other: I can't imagine going to another endocrinologist.. more

Dr. Cory Berlin 3/30/2009

I am a new patient and have only had 2 visits with Dr. Berlin. I am very impressed with his thoroughness and his willingness to listen and answer all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Berlin and feel very fortunate to have found such a kind and caring doctor. more

Dr. Cory Berlin is a great Doctor 3/26/2009

Dr. Berlin treats me for hypothyroidism. I always look forward to going to see him. His staff is pleasant, and Dr. Berlin takes time with me to answer all of my questions. He is very intuitive concerning the thyroid and I am sure that if I had other issues that he would need to address, he would. I place complete confidence in him. I drive 2 hrs. one way to see him. I also hope he never moves away from Raleigh. Kudos to Dr.Berlin! more

Dr. Berlin 3/23/2009

I have been seeing Dr. Berlin for almost 9 years now and I would NEVER change doctors! Not only is he a thorough, well-versed, up to date on his research kind of doctor, he is also just a kind man. He will sit and talk with you (and joke around) for as long as you need him. He is willing to look at you as an individual.....you are not just the numbers on your lab results. He is a father of 4 young children and he understands life as a busy parent. He has been in credibly generous with our family also. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Berlin as an Endocrinologist. more

DR. BERLIN 3/20/2009

I have been going to Dr. Berlin now for about 10 years for the treatment of hypothyroidism. Dr. Berlin is the BEST! He has a wonderful personality, great sense of humor, and very knowledgeable with the thyroid. I have referred family, friends, and even patients of mine to him. I highly recommend Dr. Berlin. I have been very pleased with the care and service I have received in his office. I just hope he doesn't ever decide to leave the Raleigh area! more

Dr Cory Berlin. 3/20/2009

Good: My thyroid blood levels have fluctuated some, but Dr. Berlin was patient to work with me to obtain a tsh level where I feel good at. The thyroid is an intricate science.. more

Dr. Berlin 3/19/2009

Dr. Berlin is one of the most conscientious physicians in this area. He is not only well versed in his area of expertise and up to date on the current treatments in his field but he truly cares about his patients. Dr. Berlin sees each patient as an individual and bases his plan of care on what would best meet the needs of the individual patient. He is one of the few physicians who really loves what he does and it shows. I would highly recommend Dr. Berlin for all of your endocrine needs! more

Raleigh Endocrine 3/3/2009

Am a patient of Dr Berlin who seems to be a pretty good dr, however I saw him in December with thyroid issues, he didn't wish to make any decisions pending old records from previous dr. I had those records sent in December and am still awaiting a call from Dr Berlin on what he wishes to do..........It is now March. So for 2 1/2 months I have been calling his office, and getting the "Oh, he has your chart on his desk, and will call you no later than the end of this week." Hmm, that's bull......the staff is awful, not helpful at all and although the dr seems nice, and knows his stuff, he cant do anything as simple as return a patient phone call. I would not recommend you waste your time or money with this practice. more

DR HOLT IS GREAT!!!!!! 12/18/2008

DR HOLT IS A GREAT DOC. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND A BEDSIDE MANNER SHE'S THE ONE. more

Don't even call and give your name! 10/16/2008

My husband James called to get information about what insurance they take, saw the ratings on this office and saw a different endo instead. We keep getting bills from them and now collection letters. Though they admit he is not and never was patient, after nearly a year they still can't stop the automated billing. I wonder if they billed our insurance too? Guess I'll call them and let them know about potential insurance FRAUD. He went to another endo - do the same! The poor ratings are correct! more

New patient - appointment scheduler 9/30/2008

New patient...Called to reschedule appointment lady was extremely rude. I tried to explain to her that I was in the hospital twice, which is why I missed my appointment (I was actually in the hospital at the time). She didn't care and said I could not be patient of this practice. more

The problem with Monopolies! 6/19/2008

Dr. Shawnee Weir is the BEST. I say this after going to another doctor in the practice (Dr. Black) and not being treated appropriately. The problem is the office management. Other than a single Doctor who left this practice and started his own, this is the only Endocrinology practice in a 50 mile area. I was informed of this BY an office staff person who informed me that "it is not unusual to be on hold for 20 minutes or more." Be prepared to HOLD and WAIT for a LONG time whenever you deal with this office. They are extremely disrespectful of their patients' time! more

Raleigh Endocrine Associates 6/18/2007

I am currently seeing Dr. Becker. He is an exceptional doctor. His nurse Deborah is also wonderful. Both take the time to listen, give me full information and details. I pregnant, diabetic, and have hypothyroidism, so it is very important I get the care I need. I feel I have gotten that and more. The downside to the REA office is that there is a long wait and they have consistent billing errors. I have on numerous occasions, been billed for the same visit but as if I saw 2 different doctors. In each case, they corrected it through their records but not corrected it through the insurance company. Unfortunately their office seems to have high turnover and an impatient staff/administration. But again, most of the doctors here are great more
