Raj Darbar is one of the best Indian Restaurants you can find in the city if you don't feel like trekking up to Little India. Located on Halstead off the Diversey brown line stop, it's a godsend for those on the near-North who don't want to go downtown or the far North.
The three dishes I favor there (Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, and Vegetable Curry) have all been amazing and give me no reason to suspect their other food is any different. The service is prompt and attentive. The restaurant has reasonable ambience, though is a bit dim for my tastes. They're one of the few restaurants I've been to that understands the differences between ordering mild, medium, spicy, or extra spicy. I wholeheartedly recommend them!
