Editorial review from Citysearch 8/27/2013

The beer selection is really good, which is why I had stopped, but I did not have a great visit. I was there on a really busy day and the service was terrible and the food was just ok. Furthermore, it's a cavernous space and feels kind of corporate and chain-like, even though it's not. Not really my kind of place. more

Great for Sports-Watching and Beer Guzzling 5/24/2010

So this place is called RFD for ""Regional Food and Drink"" but I don't think the food is their strong point. I like coming here for happy hour or late night drinks with friends, but I tend to opt out of ordering food when I can. They offer mediocre, typical American dishes that work if you're starving and just need something to soak up all that beer. I like that they carry cider and tons of varieties and hard-to-find beer names. There's also always a game on, so you'll have plenty of entertainment to go with that drink. Pros: nice array of beers, liquors, ciders, etc. Cons: they skimped on the ""food"" part more

Sports Bar with Largest Beer List Around 3/30/2010

When entertaining a large group of friends in D.C. with a strict food craving of burgers and beer I decided to take them to RFD close to the Chinatown/Gallery Place metro. To say they fell in love with the beer choices is an understatement. When visiting me in D.C. on their bi-annual trips, they ALWAYS ask to return back to RFD. This center city sports bar not only offers sports fans a large space for dinning but also quenches the beer lovers thirst, offering over a 100 different types of beer each day. If you are entertaining a large party or want a private room, RFD also rents out a private space in the back with affordable catering treats right from their restaurant menu. Pros: endless choices of beer, great food, great price more
