I took in my laptop along with information about the probable cause of the problem, which I had researched on trouble-shooting websites. I even provided the part number. I took the computer to them early on a Monday morning and continued making calls throughout the week about their diagnostics. Almost two weeks later, they told me that the motherboard was bad and that it would cost around $700 to repair the computer. When I went to get the computer, they told me that I could leave it there and they'd be happy to recycle it for me. I'm glad I didn't do that!! I ended up taking the computer to another repair shop and within a few days, I got my computer back in great working condition. They diagnosed it with the SAME EXACT problem I suspected, and put in the part (less than $100) I had written down for R & J Computers.
Pros: easy to get to the shop
Cons: bad at returning phone calls or giving dependable information, in this case
