Quick Byte: great service 2/10/2009

Amazing Tech Support 2/9/2009

I have used Quickbyte whenever I have had any sort of computer problems for the last three years. Steve always answers my calls quickly and has even helped me recover a hard drive on a Sunday night! He has been honest when it was time to throw something out rather than spend the money to repair it, and has suggested where and what to buy. I feel like he takes the time to think about the needs of MY business, and suggests software and hardware solutions accordingly. Pros: Fast Professional service, Knowledgeable, no bullsh*t more

Quick Byte's Steve Lastoe has saved me so many times I ought to be erect a statue in his honor. From bringing my computer back from the dead to setting up my operating system, from resurrecting my hard drive and saving lost/deleted files, to replacing my keyboard after my son poured nail polish remover into it, and done it all with great speed, infinite patience and good humor. I'm a solo practitioner in a suite of lawyers, most of whom are likewise on their own. Most of us, like many lawyers, don't know a thing about computers. Fantastic service 12/13/2006

Steve Lastoe is our go-to guy. We have called on him for a nmber of years now, and he has set up both our office computers and generations of the MACs and PCs we use at home. Steve answers calls very quickly and is happy to give phone advice. He manages to make service vists in a very timely fashion. So the computer on which I'm now typing this review decided to take a nap of indefinite length, and my attemps to revive it only worsened the damage. Found Steve on some Internet listings (using someone else's computer), he came over quick and recovered data that I had written up as irretrievable, and submitted a fair bill. Threw in a lot of useful advice for free. Satisfying experience overall. more

Very Good Service from an Honest Company 12/12/2006

As the owner of a smaller real estate sales company we rely on the personal relationships that we have with our service providers as key to our success. To that end I have found the services of Quick Byte to be a very valuable asset to us. Since I am not particularly computer savy I have relied on Steve, the owner of Quick Byte, to deal with all our companies computer needs/issues, and he has done so competently. Also, and this is very important to me, he is a trustworthy guy. He bills us fairly, and I feel comfortable giving him keys to our office. In short , he's an honest businessman who provides a very good service. more

Quik Byte is great for personal or small business owners to mangae and setup their computers and computer systems. They have the knowlwedge, experience and work habits to get the job done. They work efficiently and don't pad the bills. They also offer you advice you need - even when you don't know you need it. They have saved me and my company much time and expense and I strongly recommend them. Pros: Efficient, cost saving and timely. Cons: One location, but they travel to you if needed. more

Steve's a nice guy with a sense of humor who -- unlike most computer experts -- can explain things clearly without making you feel like an idiot. Steve, at Quickbyte, has been helping me for several years. I?m impressed with his extensive and varied knowledge of both hardware and software. In addition, Steve is very personably and friendly. He has setup my wireless network, saved crashed systems, installed drives, video cards etc. He works quickly and with precision, which is important when you are paying for emergency services. In the past, I?ve installed hardware and operating systems on various systems, but now for anything that I have to figure out, I just call Steve. He does the job better than I could do. In the end he gives me what I need and saves me time and aggravation. more

I called Quickbyte four years ago when another service was unable to resolve my home networking nightmare. Steve had me up and running in an hour or two. His reasonable prices, low-key style, and absolute knowledge impressed the hell out of me. And I'm the guy all my friends turn to when they have computer problems. Pros: Great service! In the past several years two of my laptops have totally crashed and even after many hours on the phone with HP tech support, I was left with no solution. Quick Byte has been my go-to when I'm left with no other options...now I wish I had just started with Quick Byte and not wasted those hours on the phone. more
