Quatrine is a furniture store that specializes in slip cover sofas, sectionals, chairs, etc. - seating.
Quatrine makes their own furniture. It's not your standard run-of-the-mill factory furniture. This furniture is hand made from beginning to end - the kind of furniture that you will pass down to your kids. They are lifetime pieces.
The frames of their seating are made with Alder wood and is fire-kilned, making it amazingly sturdy. Think old-world quality. They give you the option of a higher than average spring system or the old-fashioned 8-way hand tied spring system (meaning that if one spring pops, it can actually be repaired.
They insulate the entire frame and cover it with a high-quality denim, which you can actually use without a slip-cover. However, you choose the fabric that you want, whether it's one or a dozen, and they create a slip cover for your piece that fits snuggly. It doesn't even look like a slip cover due to its exact fit.
You can choose to just have the fabric upholstered on the sofa, but what's the point, when the slip-cover option enables you to take it off and wash it in your own washing machine! You have the option of starting with a poly-blend filling in your cushions, poly-blend and goose down, or straight goose down. You can also choose to start with a lower filling and upgrade later. The warranty is amazing, and at any time you can buy another slip cover to change the look of the room. This is not your American Furniture Warehouse or Sofa Mart kind of store. While it may cost more, it's well worth it.
Also, the staff was amazingly patient and helpful as my husband and I selected out slipcover fabrics and the frames. I would recommend Quatrine to anyone if they were looking for new seating for their home. Unfortunately, it looks like the store in Denver closed, which is disappointing. They still have locations in other cities, which you can find at Quatrine's website.
Quatrine was the best choice for our home.
