Consumer beware... Unlike the previous postsing here this place has NO MEAT of any kind. I went here based upon the other reviews and the other reviewer saying that there was "Plenty of meat"... complete lie!! Im not sure how long ago this place whent totally vegitarian but as of today (05/17/08) there is no meat. ****** On to the review***** OK, the place was nice, clean with ample seating, infact it was sparcly populated for a Saturday night at 7:30pm in my opinion, as there was only two other couples when we arrived. The wait staff was very pleasant and quick to serve. The food was prepaired nicely, although slightly bland. So, if youre looking for vegitarian cusiene this is the place for you. If, like myself, youre looking to wet your appitite with a juicing, medium rare, burger or steak.... look else where Pros: Quick friendly service Cons: Strictly Vegetarian unlike what other reviewers have posted!!! more

Fantastic location. My boyfriend introduced me to this gem hidden in the rough about a year ago and it has stolen my heart. My only gripe? It's slightly off the beaten path. Not a place you would find in your typical travels, it's about 2 blocks off Utopia Pkwy, about 4 blocks south of the LIE. I have yet to be disappointed by anything on their menu, and the people there are sweet. Highly recommended dishes are the Taco Ole (especially for you meat eaters, you'll be PLEASANTLY surprised), the Mediterranean Platter and the Small Wood Salad. As I said there is not a meal on the menu that doesn't sound scrumtpious, and the prices are so reasonable, you'd be foolish not to go. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS DINING VENUE, ZEN PALATE IN WESTBURY CLOSED!! Although this place has been around for decades, I'd be devastated if it disappeared too. I've been to this restaurant a few times with my mother who has started to take an interest in a healthier lifestyle. I've always enjoyed the food. For breakfast there are a wide variety of whole grain pancakes; pumpkin is my favorite, blueberry second! For lunch and dinner there are lots of choice of tofu and tempeh dishes as well as eggplant parmigiana, etc. The house salad is delicious. The atmosphere is calm and soothing and the restaurant is located on a hidden away street in a residential are. Nice. more

A group of 6 of us always go to Quantum on a friday night for a good time. We never have a problem getting a table & never get rushed out after our meal. I am not a vegetarian & am not a fan of healthy tofu type food so dreaded going here my first time. Now I love it ! It's very cheap, food is great & you can bring your own bottle of wine (saves sooo much money) The waiters will uncork it & bring you glasses too ! Most of the items on the menu are under $10 dollars. The only con is the waitstaff isn't the most attentive & I've had to ask them to clear the plates off the table.
