Bargains and Quality all in one store! 6/25/2006

"Quality Foods" a store with bargains and quality all in one place! And service with a smile! Quality Foods 6101 Calhoun Memorial Highway Easley, SC 29640 (864) 306-8687 Hours: Monday-Friday-9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Saturday-9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. My husband and I go here every week as they always have weekly specials in their fliers. We find the fliers in the Easley Progress Newspaper(available anywhere newspapers are sold). They are always have sales on their chicken and just this past week it was .78 cents a pound WOW! We just couldn't pass that by and ended up buying 4 packages of chicken tenders which had 23 large pieces in each package!!! That will last us well over 3-4 months. Even though there are just 2 of us...a family could have this last 1-2 months!! Hamburger meat is another big item on sale weekly and most of it is 80/20 on the fat content which most people prefer. This runs about $99 to $1.50 per pound depending on the package size. Want some fresh fruit and vegetables? Quality has it all to your liking and cheap! Iceburg lettuce is just .99 cents a head and they have romaine as well as others varying in price, tomatoes vary in price weekly but usually are .69-.99 a pound, onions are .89 cents each or you can get them by the pound for $1.00-1.09. Baking potatoes come by ones or in bags and the best deal is the 5 or 10 pound bag. The 5 pound bag is $2.50 and the 10 pound bag is just $2.99-3.20. They also have bargains on lots of their canned vegetables and fruits such as corn 10 cans for $5.00, 10 cans of carrots for $5.00, tuna fish in water or oil...4 for $1.00, bread depending on the brand anywhere from .99 to $1.57, Country Pride and Gawtney bacon is usually $1.98 a pound(what a steal considering bacon can be veryyyy expensive elsewhere!!), Country Pride wieners are just .99 cents everyday as well is the bologna. They also have some wonderful family packages at the back of the store which have wieners, bologna, ham, salami, cheese all in one package but they are singularly wrapped for freshness. Chips and other snacks are very inexpensive too as a big package of chips is just $1.09 and the middle size bag is .88 cents. Coffee depending on the brand is about $2.59-$3.49, cereal also is a bit higher at $3.49. The staff here is always friendly and when you walk in the door you are greeted and asked you need a cart. And when you check out every single register has a cashier at it and a person to help bag the items. I was shocked with this because very rarely do you see this and the service is always WITH A SMILE!! I would recommend Quality Foods to anyone because they will never steer you wrong and both you and your wallet will be happy when you leave!! more
