I had the wedding of my dreams on May 31st and I don't think I cared about any detail as much as my hair and makeup. I literally had 6 trial hair and makeup sessions before a coworker mentioned Lindsay, who used to work for MAC and is now at a place called Pure. Lindsay recommended Tracy for hair. Now that's it's all over I want to write how happy I was with how it turned out. I wanted dramatic and sophisticated, me - if I was done up to put on a magazine cover (Vogue, not TeenBeat). I didn't want curls dangling over my ears or frosted lips...\r So to get to it, I looked and felt the best I ever have. Lindsay is an artist. I never imagined i could look so flawless. My makeup was dramatic, but not so ever the top that I didn't look like me. She is the only makeup artist who really used the photos I showed her and gave me what I wanted. And my hair..I wanted full, natural, waves (even though my hair is anything but I brought in a picture of Jessica Alba and I don't know how she did it, but it looked like I had twice as much hair and more importantly, it lasted all night. I can't wait to post a picture. Cost for trial and on my wedding day was reasonable (I had it done at the salon). I wish I had found them before I wasted so much on trials, but I'm glad I ended up with them. more

Chenzo is an artist. As such he lifted his clientel to a higher quality experience. Do not confuse the remnants of his salon, with his calibur of service. The scenery may be the same but the magic has left the building. When Chenzo cut your hair, everyone complimented you on it. And your hair grew in ever more becoming and manageable. After the transistion, I returned to the salon to have my locks refreshed, the stylist I was paired with was clueless. He was easily distracted, having conversations with others, walking away at one point, and then forgetting where he left off. My hair looked better before Iarrived. I never went back Pros: Convenient part of town. Cons: Over priced for the quality of the cut. more

I live in Boca Raton and passed by this Pure salon (formerly Chenzo) almost everyday. It supposed to be very upscale salon. I went to this salon thinking I?ll get better service or at least better hair cut for the price. But to my horror I didn?t get either. Even though I made my appointment a week in advance I had to wait because the hair stylist was not there. I didn?t have a problem that I had to wait. But my problem was the way he cut my hair. The name of the stylist is Jeremy. He had ruined my hair. Even after a month I can not style it properly. Because he was late while cutting my hair, he kept looking at his watch and the other client who was waiting for him. He cut my hair so fast that I don?t think he even listened what I had asked. It was very frustrating sitting in that chair while I knew he was rushing to cut my hair. I had beautiful naturally straight hair after the hair cut Jeremy gave my hair looks so uneven everywhere that I can?t style it but pull it back in pony tail. I would not recommend anyone to this salon. It is pricy and you get terrible hair cut. more

I went to Pure (formerly Chenzo) to have Tracy correct some highlights I had done. My decision to go was based largely upon the reviews she received here. She did a great job and I was really impressed. more

Booked with Tracy based on review here. I was so nervous as overbleaching has left my already fine hair so weak. Well...she got my hair looking liked it's supposed to! I left with the blond that I can't seem to give up, but much healthier and natural looking. And this salon is beautiful with great service without the pretense (and complementary cappucino!) \r Tracy sent me to Lindsey to shape my brows after the cut - now I have beautiful arched eyebrows to match my new hair more

This is my first review on CitySearch... I'm a New Yorker and I've been a client of some of the best stylists and coloristsi n the city. For the past 10 years, i've been going to Frederic Fekkai - Fabrice for cut, Reyad, for color. They're undoubtedly two of the best in the city. But I've ben spending time in Boca Raton for the past few years and needed to find someone there. I'm spoiled, picky & neurotic about my hair. Someone recommended Tracy, at Pure (formerly, Chenzo B). She's a stylist and colorist (they're usually one or the other in NYC). I gave it a shot. I left there with the best haircut and color that I have ever had. She didn't cut a lot, at my request, and yet my long, fine hair looked styled and thicker than it really is. And the color...the most beautiful natural honey colored highlights. It's so much less expensive than getting my hair done in New York, it's actually worth the flight to get in done there. And, she was patient and sweet and spent as much time with me as I needed. If you're ever in Boca - see her. You'll never want to go anywhere else again. more
