Prost!

Went here with my family a couple of nights ago. I was surprised to read the reviews of poor service and slow food. It was Monday night football (so they were super-busy); our food and beers arrived quite promptly, and the service was delightfully snarky. This place is definitely worth the bike/bus/drive from the Pearl. more

Great waitstaff! Great Beers......douchie customers! It can get really really crowded and loud! I don't like to have to scream to have a conversation. Beers is strong and space is pretty comfy. more

We went to Prost! today to grab a bite and a beer. Now, let me start by saying they do great on the beer and even serve them in the proper glasses. That being said, let me tell you about our food experience. We ordered brats, being that it is a German pub after all and sat inside with our lovely beers. After some time (~40 minutes) we started asking after our food. After all, we wouldn't have ordered had we not wanted to eat. We were told it would be a few minutes. At this point, we took a look into their ""kitchen"" which consisted of a dark corner occupied by one ""cook,"" a small prep area and a microwave. A microwave. For brats. Anyway, a few more (10 or so) minutes more went by and still no microwaved brats. The server was a bit flippant about our request for food. So we cancelled our order, paid for our beer and went across the street to Pastaworks, where we were served lovely salami sandwiches, almost immediately. In sum: get beer there. Skip the microwave brats, if they were to ever arrive, which ours did not. more

Great place to bring dogs, kids, beer drinkers. Friendly staff and beer great. Prices a little much. Liter of beer should be more like $8, not $10. more

I love the availability of different kinds of food at the Food Carts. I can bring food from the adjoining food carts into the bar, order a beer and relax. Mexican, vegetarian, sweets, coffee, etc. are all available right off the deck! Although it is cold outside there are outside heaters and an incredible patio/deck to enjoy. Can't wait until spring and warm days! Thanks for this great addition to the neighborhood! Pros: Warm and friendly service! Cons: Not open for lunch on weekdays more

4 of us went to Prost today at about 5:30. It was busy but we were able to find a table immediately. The problem was that we sat at our table for 25 minutes before even being acknowledged. We overheard numerous complaints and decided not to order any food because after finally receiving our beers and almost finishing them, we once again hadn't seen our waitress after she brought us our beers 30 minutes prior. We finally left our money on the table and left. Lame. They lost a good crew of beer drinkers in us. Pros: good decor/atmosphere Cons: service more
