My first impression of the property was great - beautiful grounds, very friendly staff, and great apartments. I loved everything about this place right off the bat. Once I moved in everything got better! My apartment is wonderful and the move-in process was so easy. They really made my apartment hunt so much easier! I've read reviews about crime and car break-ins, but it's not any different at this property than at any other property in Tucson - Tucson is known for car break-ins and theft. Bottom line this property is AWESOME! more

I was extremely impressed with Bob's safety attitude. Roof work is dangerous. I noticed how he placed the ladders at the base and tied off at the rain gutters. His movements on the roof and body placements while working were well planned with safety in mind. He did an outstanding job repairing my home. more

The only reason we moved was because we needed more space and more amenities. Everything about living in this apartment was great, great place to live. Heard about some crime that was happening towards the back, but the management couldn't do anything about it. Apartments are clean and up to date, only had to call maintenance three times in almost 2 years. Didn't have any problems moving out, and they were very professional. I miss living here, even though my apartment now has more amenities, it is not as well-kept, and is horrible to live at. I wish we hadn't moved at all! I would recommend this apartment complex. more

This is a great place to live! I have been living at Promontory for almost 4 years and have been very happy. Don't believe all the negative comments. I usually don't bother to write reviews unless I am angry with a company. However, I am tired of seeing so many negative comments about the place I live. And by the way, this is the first place I have lived at where the staff is friendly and isn't constantly changing more

I just moved into Promontory about a month ago. The management was very responsive when I complained about minor cosmetic details in the apartment ( ie. Damaged ceiling plaster). It did take two days for them to respond, but they did it and checked with me to make sure I was satisfied. They also replaced the lamp outside my front door, which was out, usually managements never listen to tenants when they complain about the exterior. The apartments are gated, but people tend to leave the gates propped open, makes it less safe. Coming from Los Angeles, parking is amazing here, its so abundant. I'm not sure why every apartment complex in Tucson complains about cars being broken into, that ---- happens everywhere. Somethings I don't like. The laundary rooms are very nice, but no AC which makes it unbarrable to do laundary during the day. Weight room is too simple, it needs a free weight rack. The thermostat is old and not calibrated so its hard to set it to the right temperature. It was a pain in the --- to get furniture into the apartment, I'm on the third floor. Overall I think this complex deserves at least 80% approval. The rent is cheap( well compared to LA), parking is good, complex is kept nice, apartments are very nice inside, its close to a lot of retail, and its fairly quite. more

My wife and I moved in here a little over two years ago, and we're going to renew again. We're middle-aged and we're quite happy with the complex and its management. The rental price is good, the location keeps our commutes short, and it's very convenient to shopping and even good restaurants. Who wants to be burning up time and gas driving all over town after work' The apts are energy-efficient and the inside shutters really help keep cooling costs low. The fans in the master bedroom are really good for helping keep cooling costs down. We can turn the A/C off and sleep comfortably until the heart of the monsoon season. Our electricity costs per sq ft are much lower than at the 1-bedroom apts we resided at prior to moving in here. The pools and fitness center here are always operational, and the landscaping is first-rate. The few times we've had a maintenance issue it was promptly taken care of. The washers and dryers in the laundry rooms are always nearly 100% operational. The complex is pretty quiet, too. There's not a lot of children here, and the rules about dogs are enforced. Even though we live near one of the main entrances, we're not overwhelmed with noise. Occasionally we'll here a few people coming back home a bit loud late at night after a party or the bars have closed, but that's to be expected in a complex with a lot of college students and other young people. It's called life. At any rate, they're soon off the sidewalk and back in their apts anyway, and I roll back over and go back to sleep. We've seen virtually no crime, and I even check the police database regularly. There's very little reported at this complex, especially compared to others within a few mile radius. We wished that they either had washer-dryer in-unit or hookups for them in the apt. But you can't have everything. Few apt complexes do. In conclusion, we think that if you want to live in this area, Promontory should be at the top of your list. more

I moved in several weeks ago and have been very pleasantly surprised. The complex is is in a great location; nestled in the hills, near lots of shopping (right across the street from a mall), and convenient to U of A. The grounds are kept up very nicely which I appreciate since I walk my dog several times a day. The complex is very quiet, there is ample covered parking, and the apartments are gated so they are relatively secure. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to feel safe in their surroundings and who prefers a quiet, peaceful living area. more

I have lived in many different apartment communities in Tucson and the US and this has been the best experience for me - the grounds are kept up beautifully and I felt very comfortable in this community. more

I have read the previous review on this apt complex, and I have to completely disagree. Management has changed. The staff in the office seems to be genuine and seems to really care about me, and their residents. I have seen the courtesy patrol at night, and have had occasion to meet the maintance people, who were very freindly. I enjoy promontory very much, and plan to be here for a long time more

I lived an another complex at River and Via Entrada and in comparison Promontory is paradise. It is very quiet, the built-in louvered blinds are terrific, and the rent for my two-bedroom is reasonable. It's far enough away from the UA that you don't have hoards of idiotic college kids drinking and screaming every night. I recommend it highly. more

Great location, close to Tucson Mall and a short drive to UA. Beautiful complex...friendly staff. Never had any problems. Overall, a great place to live! more
