Horrible Customer Service 8/6/2009

I called the office for clarification on a date on a document. The staff member that took the call was helpful at first, but then did not know how to proceed, so they put me on hold. The staff member then picked the line back up and began to ye'll at me. It was unecessary and uncalled for. I only asked for date clarification and the staff member completely lost it over the phone. I don't know where the staff member's anger came from, but I would not want to call this office again, let alone take my child there. Cons: Office/Assistants more

Horribly Run Office 5/23/2008

We used Primary Pediatrics in Oakland before moving to Alameda. Our experiences with the Alameda office have been horrible, forcing us to change doctors. I will say that Dr. Saldovar is a wonderful and intelligent doctor. That is where my praise for Primary Pediatrics ends. \r \r I have three children close in age, so I am at the doctor's office frequently. The wait-times are horrible. Although they will cancel your appointment if you are five minutes late, don't expect to get in within 30 minutes of your appointment. The administrators are inconsiderate and frequently downright rude. We struggled to get a referral to a specialist. After being stonewalled by the administrator for over six months, my wife and I made an appointment with the doctor. Not for our children, but for the two of us. When we explained the situation to the doctor, she immediately did what her front desk was unwilling to do. We have received the same response trying to get one of our children in before he/she gave whatever ailment to the siblings. At one point, we resorted to paying the ER fee so that they could be seen. \r \r It was very hard to switch from Dr. Sandoval, but if we couldn't get through the unfriendly and unhelpful front desk, what difference does it make how good your doctor is. Pros: Good Doctor Cons: Horrible Staff more

A treasure in Alameda 2/8/2008

I LOVE this practice. We have been with them for about 12 years. (We moved to Illinois for a year and not having them as my children's doctors was a HUGE loss. Then we moved back... into their wonderful care. ) Jennifer Wineman is too good to be true -- Laura Saldivar is wonderful -- Dr. Larese is wonderful and makes my teenagers laugh -- Ann, the advice nurse, is on the spot and there with info and advice whenever you need it -- Anna at the front window is warm and a dear. I mean, what more could you ask for your children's care? They have fit us in on short notice, when we have really needed it. Once when my son was sick, Jen called ME for a follow up, to see how he was. It's like the way pediatrics should be. Maybe this sounds kind of simpering almost, but truthfully, I do trust these people with my children's lives. They are a treasure in Alameda. Pros: Personalized care... educated care... fantastic, dedicated, professional, warm people. Cons: Sometimes it's a wait, but it's that way everywhere. It's a shorter wait than most places. more
