a Pittsburgh thing 9/22/2005

Primani Bros is a Pittsburgh institution. This restaurant was started to serve minors during the days of the mills. The workers had to be able to eat with one hand and fast; because of this Primanti’s started putting everything into their sandwiches including French fries. This is a very unique dining experience, not for everyone though. more

Must go in Pittsburgh 8/6/2005

The best sandwich on earth, hands down. I don't live in Pgh anymore but it's all I talk about anytime the city comes up. It's the main reason I'd go back. Just to eat a steak and egg with provolone Primanti sandwich. And don't dare try to modify the way they make the sandwich or you'll get some sass. I've never liked any other coleslaw except the kind they put on this sandwich. more

A great place to try 8/5/2005

Primanti Bros is a have to stop for anyone living the in Pittsburgh area. There are several locations around the area including downtown and at the Steelers and Priates Stadiums. It is a Pittsburgh tradition to stop and get a massive sandwich with cole slaw, fries, and your other toppings, all piled high on italian bread. If sandwiches aren't your style they have pasta and pizza and chicken. They are themed with Pittsburgh pictures and a full bar with many TVs. They also have many Pay Per View events here too. A GREAT PLACE TO STOP! more
