Preston TV and Video delivers 3/13/2012

Complicated job of setting up BluRay, DVD/VCR, TV, Netflix and projector. Got 90% of it the first time and returned at my request and spent another hour getting it all right and adding volume control to TWC remote. Prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'll definitely use them again. more

The work was flawless and they were even here early and were very nice. Fantastic. They were great and I will use them again. more

Well, this is the first review I have ever written, but if it saves you the time it took me to figure out how rude and unhelpful this group has been. We had them pre-wire our home during its build. after the build, i had some basic questions. not only did they not call me back, when I talked to them, even though i was willing to pay for their service to assist me, they CLEARLY didn't want to assist me. \r \r Call someone else unless you know all about wiring. more

Terrible Experience/Customer Service 11/15/2011

HI All! I felt the need to write in as I have had a TERRIBLE experience with Preston TV and Video. I have never taken the time to write a review before in all my years, but this experience was so bad I felt I needed to warn everyone so your time is not wasted! I called to schedule a Home Theater install consultation and was told the service providers would arrive between 1 and 3 pm today. I called to confirm this morning and was told they would be coming for sure, and verified that if they were not going to be able to meet the allotted time slot that they would call to let me know. I have now spent the past two hours on my couch waiting, and at 3pm called to ask what the status was...they informed me they were no longer going to be able to make it. I said, OK, are you not going to apologize? I have been sitting at my house for two hours waiting and you have had my phone number the entire time. The man was like ""sorry"". I informed him (politely) that this was terrible customer service and he said that he would be happy to cancel the entire thing if I would like. I was literally shocked at how flippant/ambivalent he was! I would not recommend working with Preston TV and Video. I have now wasted an entire afternoon, and then been treated poorly afterwards! I suggest steering clear! more

Preston Video went the extra mile for me, not only helping me pick out and buy a great new Toshiba LCD TV, but troubleshooting my surround sound system too. And guess what? Their wall-mounted TV installation prices were so low that I got that too. I love my new TV and how Preston Video made it effortless for me - Bravo! more

The service technicians were polite. They hooked up my new tv and were very patient showing me how it all works. I was so pleased i schedule them to go to my moms house to help her with some problems she was having. Pros: Nice people more

Rip off - They don't know what they are doing 4/19/2010

Took my Vizeo in for repair. Paid $75.00 to have it tested. They told me it was the main board and it would cost $400 top repair. I only paid 400 for the TV so iI took it home. Bought not one but two mainboards for it and neither worked. Bought a new power supply for it and it worked WITH ALL 3 MAINBORDS. I repaired the TV myself - sold the spare parts and it only cost me $79.00 plus the $75 I gave these people. Cons: Said it was a bad mainboard - it was NOT! more

AVOID this business 12/14/2009

After 11 days without phoning me (they charged my card $35 after a couple of days), I find out that they want $237 to repair my stereo receiver that cost less than that NEW! more

Stay away! 3/13/2009

Horrible service! I couldn't even get them to call me back, ever. I had to continually call to find out the status of my tv repair. They'd promise to call me back at x time on x date, and low and behold, they'd never call. I'd call back, get the run around, the promise to call, and nothing changed. I'd never recommend this repair shop to anyone. How they've been in business as long as they have I have no idea. Cons: Cost 1.5x more and took 3x as long! more

SLOW, SLOW, SLOW 8/28/2008

Took in my dvd player on Tuesday morning at 9am and was told that there was one ticket ahead of me and that they will likely get a diagnose of the problem shortly. By Thursday afternoon, they said that they still have no idea when they will know what is wrong with it. It's one thing to be thorough, but another to be unapologetic and apathetic about customer service. Pros: parking was great Cons: slow to respond; no communication initiated by them whatsoever more

BAD 3/26/2008

Took a TV in for repair. They said I had to pay an estimate fee to tell me what was wrong with the TV and how much it was to repair. Sounded good and I agreeded. A week later I got a call saying they could not get the repiar/technical manual for this LCD TV and that I needed to call and get it.! I tried to make the call to get the manual and it was a number for sending in repairs and not manuals, so I did not get the manual. I was still charged the fee for the estimate. WHAT ESTIMATE!! All I got was sorry we can not fix your TV or give you an estimate because we can not get the repair specs! So tell the guy I guess you will not work on these TV's (DEll) any more, and he says no we will keep trying. He did say they had had a problem in the past with getting manuals. If they would have told me this up front I may not have wasted MY HARD EARNED MONEY!! Pros: Local Cons: They say what you want to hear more
