I only give 1 star because I can't give less. We've been to the Potter's House several times. We went because we thought it supported a good cause so who cares if it's used? Forget that. We bought a washing machine there. Had to replace it 3 times! I'm not even sure why we went back as much as we did. I guess we were hoping it was just a fluke. Then after all that we waited about 2 months and went back. We got a VCR for my daughters room. It was crap. When we got it home it ate the tapes, destroyed some beyond repair or reusing, and now just plain out doesn't work. We've had it 2 weeks!!! They have a no refund policy even if it doesn't work!!! They swear they test it, even put a date on it. If 3 washing machines and 1 VCR were truly tested they'd last more than the first use. Not only that, the customer service is horrid! You're volunteers, you don't HAVE to be there. You don't want to? GO HOME!! I will NEVER go back there again. It isn't worth my time and most DEFINITELY not worth my money. If I wanted to waste it that badly I'd flush it down the toilet. Now we stick to the ABBA house. At least it helps beaten women and children instead of giving addicts a place to stay the nite. Potter's is a horrible excuse for a ""non-profit"" thrift store.
