On the Potomac Palisades in north Arlington, Potomac Overlook Regional Park offers 100 acres of peaceful woodland. The park is located at the end of Marcey Road (which is off of Military Road).
Potomac Overlook's nature center has live snakes and birds of prey as well as archeological displays. The nature center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday and is closed Monday.
Nature programs, hikes and other outdoor adventures are scheduled throughout the year.
