I use Postnet for mail service. They randomly close or change hours with little-to-no notice. Last summer they closed on Saturdays for weeks. This weekend (on December 31st, 2017) I received a note in my mailbox that they were changing their hours starting January 2nd! Daily closing is now 6PM, no longer 6:30 AND they will no longer be open on Saturdays. I commute by train to DC and can rarely pick up mail before 6PM. If there's mail or packages that won't fit in my box, there's no way to get it, especially since they won't be open on Saturday or Sunday. If I'd had a month or so notice of the change, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Now I'll need to take time off from work to pick up that mail. I spoke with the manager who repeatedly said, "It was a business decision." No "I'm sorry." Nothing. Since the manager said they won’t forward mail, I now must sign up with another service and pay twice until I’m sure all mail is being delivered to my new address. When you sign up for a service, you expect to get what you are paying for. I have not been getting what I paid for when I signed up for service and this most recent change really puts me in a bind regarding my mail service. I’m signing up with the UPS Store about a mile away.
