Everyone knows that Habitat for Humanity helps low income folks build affordable housing...but did you know that they also help save the planet by recycling found construction materials?
Their RE-Store is located under the Morrison Bridge and is open just 3 days a week (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) from 10-4.
Businesses and others contribute both new and reusable construction materials as well as doors, windows, cabinets and the like and then the store sells them to the general public. Any profits go back into building more houses for low-income families.
It's a great way to build two houses at once..your's and a stranger who could be your next neighbor.
