One of the places my co-workers and I like to hang out after a long, hard day is Porter's West. It is very roomy, has a decent atmosphere and they still allow smoking inside for those of you who need that sort of thing. I fell in love with PW the first time I was there and had one of their frozen drinks- the Peach Daiquri (sp?). It is SOOO delicious- like a Slushee for grown folks. It's what I get whenever I go there.
Recently, the girls and I went and I decided to try Joe's Famous Wings. I ordered the 'hot', thinking they'd be more like the Hot Wings you order at KFC. Man, was I wrong! They were very tasty, but EXTREMELY HOT!!! I can't even express how hot they were. It was a four alarm fire hot- like sucking on a chilli pepper in Hell. I dreaded going to the toilet the next morning.
Still, the wings were superb in flavor, which was why I kept eating them after my tongue had died. I think I'll try the medium or mild next time, just to be safe.
