I first checked out Porter's after shooting my cousin's wedding. I wanted a trustworthy place that would handle such valuable memories properly. I found that place on Viking Rd. Being a photographer, I like to check out new possible toys, and it is nice that they can get anything I would want / need from their warehouse. The photo developing is pretty expensive (I think around $11 for a roll) but every single picture is color balanced to correct any film or lighting issues you may have encountered. The difference is obvious, and the attention to detail is appreciated. more

Professionals or amatures 9/28/2005

This is great place to go if you are just an armature photographer or if this is your passion. They offer a huge catalog and on-line store, but they also have a store out in the industrial park. They also offer photo finishing if you are looking for somewhere new to go. more

Lots of cameras 8/15/2005

When I was in the market for a new camera I went to Porters to check out their selection. They have a pretty decent selection of everything because they have a large warehouse of all kinds of equipment. If you don't see it in the store they can go out to the warehouse and bring it back for you to look at. The prices are really expensive though. If you are looking for that something specific then it might be worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. more
