5 Star for Lindsey 0 star for admin staff 5/25/2023

More than once I have thought of leaving this practice because of the rude and incompetent receptionist/front desk. But I really like the PA-C Lindsey Kruk and she keeps me coming back. Ashley will hang up on you while you are in mid-sentence and no, I was not rude. I just did not agree with her and wanted to talk with someone else. more

Not following CDC Guidelines and State of Maryland Public Medical Office Requirements 10/24/2020

This past Friday was the second time in 6 months since Covid 19 where I was witness to staff interacting with patients without proper social distancing and without PPE (face masks). Once the Office Manager arrived I realized that it was a standard or lack thereof that was being set by the top Administrative personnel as I watched her walk around the office without a mask; when I asked to speak to the OM about safefty precautions for patients or family members with compromised immune systems her reply was "are you a cancer patient?" as if that should matter and in fact it is my wife that is the at risk person. When I asked why she came up to speak to me without a mask she said "it is a personal choice" to which i replied, "not in a medical office". I fault the staff and the Drs for allowing a non medical person to set the standards for safety and best practices- this is why we have 200,000+ deaths in this country when Japan, S Korea, Germany and other countries have less than 5000 total deaths. Incompetent, unprofessional, and if in my office she would have been fired long ago. Unless you are testing every single day there is no way to know someone in your office is asymptomatic. I thought we entered the Age of Enlightenment hundreds of years ago and emerged from the Dark Ages. more

Terrible Service 7/9/2018

Have been a patient with Dr Gillian Adams for over twenty years because she is a fantastic doctor. Since her departure last December have had nothing but problems getting refills approved , test results etc. If you want to see a actual doctor its a long long wait. more

Terrible 6/7/2017

If you value your health then avoid this assembly line health care center. Getting in the door isn't a problem, if you don't mind seeing a physician assistant. The wait to see an actual Doctor is months. If you have any type of diagnostic testing and you're expecting a call back to see if you're going to live or die...forget about it. You're going to die waiting on that call. Sure, you can call the automated phone system and leave a "detailed" message and at the "doctors discretion " they may or may not get back to you. Seriously, that's what the machine says. Proceed at your own risk and with caution. more

Unorganized period! 9/16/2015

Took my daughter for a checkup and for School papers to be filled out.The doctor said in three days they will call for us to pick up.I waited a week and half, went there they couldn't find papers.I left they apparently made a note on the computer about. My husband calls them that again say they will call us when to pick up.I wait a week call,no papers can't find them. The person who maybe knows where they are is at lunch. We call back, instead of saying they lost the damn papers,we get run around once more. These woman at the desk are rude...have all the time to talk to each other, and no time for you!Still waiting for papers... more

rude, careless, unorganized, unfriendly and money hungry 6/30/2014

Bunch of crooked money hungry careless unorganized staff! Horrible place and after a whole year of paying for fees that seemed to come out of no where with no reasonable explanation I finally wrote a email to the head lady in charge (because of course she "wasn't there any day I needed her) and I was never responded to. They don't care about your health or your life in general if you ask me. I am on a controlled substance and have to call once a month for refills and would find myself waiting 2 weeks with out them ever calling me to let me know it was ever ready! They would say oh we forgot. I have to come I there monthly and they charged me up to 50 dollars in late fees over a 5 dollar bill that I could have been told about out of the 7 months I came in. They instead let my bill accumulate so they could get more money out of me. They are also very unorganized, they never notified me of having to schedule a check up appointment so when I went in to pick up my medication they told me no. They said I have to pay and have the appointment first but couldn't be seen until 2 weeks. I then told them I was changing doctors. They ended up calling me back telling me my medicine was ready ONLY because they didn't want me to take my money elsewhere. They will not let you communicate with your doctor, they make you schedule a appointment so you have to pay just to ask a question. I had a appointment one time and asked about something other then what I was being seen for that day and was told that I wasn't here for that issue and to reschedule if it was important!!! Do your self a favor and please STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. more

Cold and unsmiling office 4/17/2013

I found the office cold and unfriendly for my first time visit. The receptionists at the front desk do not smile and they give the impression they don't care. I was very very disappointed and I am looking for another medical office. more

Plumtree Family Health 11/19/2012

I have been a patient of Roy Rothenberg for almost a year now and switched to them after having to continuously wait for more than two hours for a scheduled appointment at my previous physicians office. I wait no more than 10-15 minutes for my scheduled appointment at this office, the office staff is always friendly and Roy has taken better care of me than my previous doctor did in the 15 years I was seeing him. I won't be changing from these folks for a long time I hope. more

Uncooperative and uncaring 10/18/2011

Took over two weeks to get an appointment, and then they cancel it 6mins prior to the appt. I'm sure if I cancelled this late I would get charged. The could have cared less for the inconvenience it caused me and the wasted time and gas. more

Rude and Uncaring Office Staff 7/31/2011

My family and I have been going to this practice for about 3 years and I have now had enough of the rude and uncaring office staff there. I tried to speak to someone regarding the treatment that my family and I were receiving and the doctors there seemed to not care either, which by the way, we were never even able to see a doctor; only the physicians assistants and my daughter was misdiagnosed TWICE by them! So needless to say; we will not be returning...ever. more

After 10+ Years, Finally Leaving 6/14/2011

After more than ten years at Plumtree Family Health Center, I've finally decided to move on. Several things bother me about the practice: I was misdiagnosed by a PA twice, resulting in a hospital stay once; it is extremely difficult to get appointments with MDs; the office will not work with pharmacies; 30+ minute wait time; and, for me, location (I live in White Marsh), although this is a personal reason. Despite these things, I stuck around for so long because of the excellent treatment by Dr. Gillian Adams. However, my largest complaint -- and the reason I eventually left -- is the office staff. The women are rude and nasty. My last interaction with one of the front desk women was so bothersome that I found a new doctor right away. (I attempted to contact Dr. Adams about this interaction -- after all, it is very possible that she is not aware of how her staff treats patients -- and I was not allowed to speak to her. So I left a message on her voicemail, and it was returned by someone whose name I didn't catch, but who identified herself as the "front desk supervisor." This person left a message for me. When I called back and asked for the front desk supervisor, the person who answered the phone said that there IS no front desk supervisor. Finally I was able to speak with someone who took my complaint, who simply said, "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but we've never received complaints about ____ in the past.") Not good enough. more

Roy Rothenberg 3/18/2011

I've been a patient of Roy Rothenberg for a year now and have been pleased. He took his time at each appointment, listened to me, gave me advice and felt the same as I did about taking medicine unless absolutely necessary. I saw reviews about the office staff and I have not had the same experience. They have always been friendly and kind. more

Not reachable 3/2/2011

Have been a patient for 10 or more years. Changed doctors recently was tired of being sent to Express Care because they had no openings. In 10 months of being VERY ill, was only able to get to see the doctor once. Staff is rude, office is closed more than open. I do not recommend this practice. more

Deteriorating 2/23/2011

Was a patient for over 20 years. Health insurance changed and only the PA assisted. Staff is rude and uncaring. Finally got tired of constantly going to ExpressCare and the like for medical care and switched physicians. Was relegated to a PA ten years ago and have not seen a physician since. I have serious medical issues and need a real healthcare provider. more

Office Doesn't Care About Patients 2/2/2011

Good: My insurance sent an instructor to teach the staff how to handle insurance to explain how things work after they heard about Plumtree's poor service.. Bad: Office policies are set not to care about the patient. They will not make referrals, do not check for conflicting medical conditions, drug costs, or insurance before making prescriptions. They will not talk to pharmacies, accept faxes, or tell you when a prescription is ready. If you have a problem, they tell you to take it up with insurance and will not accept a letter to a PA or doctor when the rude staff will not listen. When I had a problem, they made up a new story for insurance. No one cares about YOU. Improvements: Other offices I have told about Plumtree's treatment of patients can't believe it. One office even questioned if their refusal to talk to patients was legal. The doctors need to pay attention to office management and revise all of their policies. They need to do training on how to treat patients, and even show basic courtesy. The main problem are the office policies in effect, which causes the staff to not care about people. The PAs need to not issue prescriptions without checking for other conditions.. more

Great Doc - Office Staff is Terrible! 12/4/2010

Like many of these reviews have said - doc was great - in this case Gillian Adams but the office staff are so rude I finally stopped going there. If you really have a problem besides routine care it's nearly impossible to get an appt. and forget about a call back. The phone nazi working there is as nasty as they come. It's too bad the doctors don't read these comments. more

Jeanne Overacre is a "Gem" 11/30/2010

I have been going to Plumtree for over 3 years and have been pleased with the PAs. Office staff are left to be desired, they definitely need an overhaul, but I am there for the health care not the staff. Jeanne Overacre is a "gem" and treats you with respect and kindness. She takes the time with you to discuss your needs. more

I Recommend Plumtree Family Health Center 11/4/2010

My experience was excellent - was met with a smile and greeted professionally by the office staff. Completed the "new" patient paperwok and waited 5 min and was escorted to an exam room. The doctor arrived about 10 minutes later and the appointment began. For as busy as these offices are lately, given all the "whiners" without REAL medical issues...I was very pleased and will recommend Plumtree to others. For all "whiners"....just go on-line for your cures...quit taking up these doctors time and allow people who are REALLY in need of medical care, the attention they need!! All you do is raise our Insurance costs and distrupt professional health care!! more

Rude 10/4/2010

I have to be honest, I was in this office today and they are a rude group. The lady in the back taking your money never even looked up to make eye contact with me, just grunted at me. Roy who is the P. A. acts like an arrogant jerk. I am in there with issues and he talks to me as if I am a moron. I am done with this place. I need a doctor and staff that are a little more pleasant to work with. And the first 2 minutes I was in there Roy had no idea why I was there. He thought I was a different patient. Why would you have someone working there like this? more
