  • The Experience
This 1800s farm offers daily guided tours with hands-on activities including milking a cow or goat, performing farm chores including grain milling and churning buttermilk, riding a farm horse, working a forge in a blacksmith shop and sawing wood. Kids love the animals and hands-on activities. Adults appreciate the tour of the historic pioneer cabin and extensive information provided by costumed guides who are well-informed about what life was like for Washington's pioneers.

    Facts
While little kids delight in being able to handle a variety of farm animals and enjoy lots of fun, hands-on activities, note that several can be very dangerous. The blacksmith's forge and sawing activities in particular require parent's close attention. Also encourage children to wash their hands at the nearby water pump, with soap, after playing with the barn's animals to avoid illness.
