I have been going to this store and a sister store in Palm Bay run by by the same family for the past 10 years for all my pool needs. I have discovered in recent times this location has been in the habit of informing me my chlorine and/or salt is low when in fact my home test kit or the OTHER store will tell me I'm perfectly in range. Last week the manager or owner Jim came back to tell his technician what numbers to enter into the computer. Wow! Low chlorine and salt content. Need to add some shock and salt immediately. (With a salt pool chlorinator first step would be to tell the customer to turn up the chlorinator to verify that it is working properly?) I protested by stating my home test kit indicated there was a decent level of chlorine in my pool to which Jim snidely replied "just go with that then". I then asked him how accurate his test was to which he replied "VERY". I left without buying anything and the next morning returned to one of the Palm Bay store run by Jim's father. The pump was off for over 12 hours overnight and it had rained a little so I was expecting Jim's chlorine reading of "1" and salt reading of 3000 would be either the same at best or perhaps even lower. The other store in fact measured the chlorine at '3' and salt at 3500. Both numbers PERFECT. No salt or chlorine needed. I contacted the corporate office to complain and they simply sent me a form email stating their tests are accurate and any discrepancy is simply due to operator error. I had explained in my complaint this has happened before and the numbers were not just a little off but significantly off. Also both technicians performing the tests were there for quite a while and were experienced performing these tests. I followed up with corporate leaving a message for someone to contact me by phone to follow up but no one did. Apparently the corporate office condones this type of behavior?
