So, there are always haters in this 6/11/2012

So, there are always haters in this world. That is too bad. As a guy, I would never have thought about looking younger, but, then I met Dr. Reiter. What a joy to be treated as well as I was that first visit. Yes, the decor is ""vintage"" but that is not way one would go to, well, anywhere for medical care. And the care is way over the top of TOP rated. The skill and expertise more than make up for the decor. As to the comment about ""looking at the patient"", what exactly is a doctor supposed to do? Ignore the patient? I was not ignored. I was well treated and the results are excellent. I would absolutely recommend this excellent facility. more

Very average, don't really recommend 9/2/2010

Spent a couple hours at this older ""Spa"" as it's called to have laser hair removal. I've had this done at one other place and I was quite surprised to see such a difference, unfortunately not in a good way. First of all the machine this doctor's using is old and slow as a snail. The other place I went to the laser head covered at least 4 times the area at once!!. I believe to make up for the lack of speed I think the doctor was missing large areas. When I asked how he knew where he's done he said, ""Don't worry I know what I'm doing"". Well, from what I could tell I didn't think so, so that's why I asked. At the end of the day, I'm looking for a place that has the latest technology and this place just wasn't there. more

Sorry but I can't recommend this place 8/15/2010

This ""spa"" is not too much of a spa - instead it's located in an old one story building on the main floor that has a really strange layout. You walk in and it's a blast back to 1960 but not in a good way. Trying to see past the old semi-run down building I looked forward to some good results but no such luck. I spent about 2 hours there and half way through the doctor got his assistant to take over - this made me nervous as she didn't seem trained and was constantly asking the doctor what to do. You know if I wanted to pay good money to be a practice patient I would have went to some med-school !! more

What a horrible experience !! 6/30/2010

I've read the reviews on this clinic before I went and wonder if the doctor has people posting reviews for him. I say that because it was such a creepy experience having this doctor stare at my body. I went to this doctor for hair removal and won't be going back. I mean you couldn't pay me enough money to have this doctor stare at me. It was just so creepy. I don't recommend this place at all. Needless to say I won't be going back ! Pros: I can't think of one good thing to say Cons: Found this doctor to be creepy more

I Love This Place! 3/21/2009

Wow, what a find. I was visiting my friend in Ocean Park (I live in the San Diego area) and noticed that she looked more rested and relaxed than I had ever seen her. We are both in our fifties and love the sun. She eventually admitted that it wasn't a recent vacation, plastic surgery, or a Zen ""thing"". She reluctantly told me she had a ""PLMS"" Rejuvenation at her neighborhood med spa, Pier Laser. I made an appointment and was not disappointed. Dr. Reiter analyzed my features, explained all the risks (chance of a small temporary bruise or mild burn, etc) and began his non-surgical ""magic"". Within 3 months, I too was transformed by an IPL series, Botox, Dermal Filler and more, ALL FOR ONLY $2500. I never had any complications, although it was difficult for me to drive all the way to Santa Monica each visit from San Diego. I also was disappointed that he does not treat cellulite (he told me his nonsurgical treatments don't include cellulite because the technology for this is disappointing currently).\r Well, for the last few weeks my colleagues and friends have been asking me if I lost weight(no!), just came back form vacation(no!), had cosmetic surgery(no!)...lol.\r I haven't felt this good about myself for years, and am so happy I discovered the Pier Laser Med Spa. The amazing disappearance of my age spots and wrinkles make me look 20 years younger. I want to buy stock in Lasers and Botox now...haha\r I was feeling down about the economy, and now I am a little guilty about feeling so good. Thank you, Dr. Reiter! Pros: Skilled and Concerned M.D., Very Affordable Care,No Hardsell Cons: Receptionist has thick accent, Doesn't Sell Lotions more

Dr. Reiter is fantastically skilled, but should stop dressing like a slob 8/29/2008

I had his ""Reiter Rejuvenation"", which I strongly recommend, if you look older than you want to. I went there after my friend was transformed by him last year, (and I assumed she had plastic surgery done), but only admitted what really happened recently. \r Well I had a series of three IPL treatments, as well as Botox and Juvederm for erasing wrinkles, and allowed him to inject my lips, but mostly to shape my lips so I have that increadibly pouty smile that I think is so attractive. All this for $2500, which was the best money I've spent all year.\r I was scared at first because he was wearing torn blue jeans and sandals as he had done when caring for my friend, however as time went on, I saw myself appear 15-20 years younger. \r The best part is that it's close by. I am happy with my results, although I don't tell all my friends what I had done. Pros: skilled doc, great results, great price Cons: doc dresses like a slob, receptionist is hard to understand more

Finally a Great Med Spa in My Neighborhood 8/12/2008

This Med Spa is easy to miss, as it's a small storefront on Lincoln Blvd, in Santa Monica, but by the Starbucks close to the Venice border. The small size or what they call ""Intimate Setting"" actually does make for a cozy med spa setting. I'm glad that I did find this little gem. The doctor is very gentle and sincere, but seems to go out of his way to explain all the complications of each procedure which would have scared me away, but I've had them before many times (having to drive to Beverly Hills which is no fun in traffic.) I like the combo Botox(at $10/unit) and Juvederm ($500/syringe) injections as he used that special cold wind machine before injections and I really barely felt them. He was not the cheapest when I compared prices, but since he was so close to my house, I gave them a try. The setting is intimate but not fancy, but he appears to have a lot of high tech machinery packed in there. The rooms seemed a little small, but the doctor was so attentive to my needs, I felt like his very special patient, and it was only my first visit there (but not my last.)\r He never tried to upsell me any services, which I liked, but his receptionist did not speak English very well, which is a real negative for his business. She seemed to be really trying and genuinely seemed to care about me. I think she is Filipino.\r The waiting room is cozy with a huge fireplace, there was parking out front, but I was told that if ever it was full, I could park in the Starbuck's parking lot next door and have a coffee on the Pier Laser Med Spa account when done. \r I didn't have any Laser services or Facial Peels, but I can tell that the doctor is an expert in Juvederm and Botox as I didn't get one bruise, the injections didn't hurt, and he gave me that upturned steamy pout that doesn't look ""done"". (I had driven by there many times, but when it was the closest to my 90291 zip code on the juvederm-com website, I had to try it.) \r I give it five stars (6 minus one for his secretary) Pros: t more
