I started in the Marital Arts as a teenager. I was in the system of Hung Gar Kung Fu in Norman Ok. My training with them lasted for about 4 years. My life got really busy for the next 10 years. I started searching again for a place to take Kung Fu in Oklahoma City. So I started to do my homework again. Looking at what was available around okc. I found Phoenix Rising Kung Fu. Learning they teach the Combat Art of San Soo Kung Fu. I started looking up videos on YouTube about the art that is taught at this school. I found out that the training they use to teach, is the same way they teach soldiers in the military hand-to-hand fighting. Technique then drill, drill, drill. Then drill some more. Forms are found in this system. Along with a variety weapons. The techniques in the system are not made to be nice or fancy. They are made to stop any attacker quickly in a fight. The techniques work if you are a male, female, big or small. The instructor of the class has been in the art for decades and his skills are shown throughout the school.
