Pets Plus

Pets Plus is a family owned pet store, and you get that welcome feeling as soon as you walk through the door, and are greeted with a friendly "Hello!" They have at least three staff members who have been at the store 25+ years, and that says something. They do special orders for you if they don't have something in stock, and will also call you if they receive a puppy in that you are looking for. Their puppies are purchased mainly from local families, which have been, many times, loved and spoiled by children before coming to the store. They have monthly specials, and often have "coupons" through Groupon, Living Social, etc more

In December of 2002 I walked into Pets Plus on a whim. No intentions to buy--only looking. I was a college student after all, living with roomates. I immediately saw 2 7 week old golden labs in a small cage, and my jaw dropped. They were adorable. I asked one of the workers if I could see the darker colored female. They kindly brought her to me. I held her in my arms, and literally teared up as this sleepy puppy goes limp in my arms and blinks at me with her long red lashes. Without question, I go to the counter, and say "I want to take this one home". I didn't care if my roomates kicked me out-I had to have this dog. I named her Berklee...\r Now I'm living in San Francisco. Berklee has been my best friend for 6 up and down years, and has been my reason for starting my own dog walking and dog boarding business. She is brilliant, well behaved, and is really the leader of the pack. Living in SF, owning a pet store dog is looked down upon...but I don't care. I'll never forge more

I was recently was given a 7 week old puppy, but knew I wouldn't be able to keep her because of where I lived. In a matter of 4 days, I grew attached to this little puppy and decided I was going to put her in the best place I could. A friend directed me towards Pets Plus and told me that these people would make sure she went to a good home. When I arrived to give my puppy away, I was in tears, but when I was greeted with the people who worked there, I knew this was the right place for her. They even let her keep her teddy bear. I came away feeling much better about the situation and i am glad my friend was there for me that day. more

Wife and I purchased a beautiful puppy from them, we were impressed with the expert advise and setup, as well as the knowledge and friendly staff. We will shop there more often. more

Pets Plus is pretty much like any locally owned pet store. They do have somewhat of a limited selection of food and supplies, but they also carry some interesting items as well. I know when I went to the store about a year ago they had prarie dogs that you could purchase as a pet. I have to admit that is pretty original. The staff is very friendly and are able to answer most any basic question you ask. more

This store is wonderful for pet owners. I have been there several times to shop for my pup. They have EVERYTHING you could ever think of for your pet needs. The prices are average, no real deals here. PROS: Great supplies CONS: no real deals here more

This is a SMALL pet store with a very limited selection of pet supplies and food. They stock the bare minimum, you wont find all the varieties of Nutro or Iams that you are used to. and the prices are higher than the Big Guys more
