Another good French restaurant in Miami! So far, everything that I've eaten here is delicious. The tartins are always fresh, delicious. Service is impeccable- 2 waiters that really know what service means. Soups, salads, chicken-all delicious. Cute little spot next to a Fedex store. more

Nice quaint feel. Excellent service by David. Started with the sweetbreads. Delicious. Perfect the way they prepared them. Had the duck confit-yummy and husband had skirt steak- excellent. Too full for dessert. May want to make a reservation as it is a small bistro and very popular. Very good chef. Kudos! Will return. more

Petit Rouge: The Perfect Restaurant 10/25/2010

It pays to research before trying a new restaurant & all the great review are real & any bad review can be dismissed as an envious restauranteur. Chefs take note everything out of the kitchen prepared as if we were royalty or food critics and neither of us two couples are either just 4 ordinary people who experienced an extraordinay dining feast of the senses. Picture a charming dining room with fine cutlery stemware silverware and our waiter David who can teach waiters from all over how it's done. Churraso (skirt steak) cooked to perfection. The filet cooked to perfection for my demanding yet pleasant girlfriend. The meatloaf almost made the other young lady in our table cry ""the food is so good I think I'm going to cry"". My good friends trout was ""amazing"". & the onion soup ""bravo""! The potatoes cooked in duck fat were perfect with my skirt steak. I am not big on desserts but my friends enjoyed the caramel flan & devoured the chocolate mousse! Beware of the delicious bread once you start you won't be able to stop! To top it off they brought my gf a delicious piece of cheese cake covered in chocolate sauce with a lit candle & everyone in the restaurant joined in singing happy birthday. You can pay more somewhere else but you can only dine with the God's here!\r \r Thank You Chef Craig & David\r Jose Luis (Puma) Rodriguez\r more

The food here is really good. The skirt steak cuts like a filet. The chicken has a nice herb crust. The fish is cooked to perfection. This is an unusual Miami find.\r \r The servers are very pleasant and quick. It has a cute cafe feel. It is a small place, so make reservations. more

Having seen it in Miami Spice, we decided to give a try to this little gem in our backyard. If you drive too quickly you might miss it, but do not let its small appearance fool you; it is by far the best French Bistro in town.\r The place is immaculate and cozy. The staff is very friendly and extremely attentive. \r Now let's go to the food... I started with the water crest endive salad and my husband chose the country-style pate. Both were superb; the dressing in the salad was delicate and well balanced, and even the walnuts tasted homemade. According to my husband (I don't eat pork) the pate was excellent. \r As entrees, I chose the skirt steak with caramelized shallots and pomme frites. The meat was perfectly cooked to our specifications and the flavor was phenomenal. My husband could not have been happier with his duck confit which was perfectly seasoned and accompanied by sliced potatoes cooked in rendered duck fat and garnished with garlic and parsley. \r Dessert was equally memorable, my creme caramel had an exquisite consistency and delicate flavor. My husband's blackberry/cabernet sorbet was out of this world, one of the best sorbets we have tried (my husband is a sorbet fan). \r All in all it was a great experience which was complemented by the fact that we felt very welcomed with our 2 and a half month old baby. This might be our little rendevouz place for special occasions.\r Our compliments to the chef and staff!!! more

Great French Food 8/5/2010

Even tho there was a change in ownership, the food's still quite good. The mussels-TRUE French style c'est magnifique! Service is friendly and helpful. Owners always present, which means things go right! Soups are delicious; sublime. Tartin-excellent! Daily specials keep the menu interesting. Charming decor. Quiet, clean; great place for a date. more

The restaurant is way too expensive for what they offer, (entrees between $38 to $56) the food didn't taste good enough and the service was even worse. Having in consideration that we travel a lot, we were disappointed with the quality of their food.\r Also, they don't have high-chairs for young children. The restaurant location next to a gas station and a chiropractor was unexpected. Our experience at Petit Rouge was unpleasant. more

I had a really spectacular meal at Petit Rouge in North Miami. I have been so dispappointed by so many restaurants and wasted so much money that I have gave up on dining out. My friend Sophie recommended Petit Rouge to me and insisted I give this restaurant a shot. So I did. Give Petit Rouge a chance. I started with the basic onion soup and WOW!! The broth was full of flavor, and the cheese which I believe was gruyere Awesome. Soooo good. Then I had there special called Rossini. It was filet mignon topped with foie gras and a truffle sauce. I am definetley having a My Last Supper Meal by Melanie Dunea moment. It was insanely good. I just can't believe that I am actually having a great meal. I am at this point in love again. I did not have any room for dessert however I did have a sip of my friends decaf French Pressed Coffee. The smell of the coffee was incredible. I felt like this is the smell I want to have when I awake in a fancy five star hotel in Vegas accompanied by chocolate croissants. I have one thing to say to the chef of Petit Rouge. Congratulations for executing one of the greatest meals in Miami. You really know what your doing when it comes to food. I am your fan now. Fantastic!!! more

My friend took me to Petit Rouge for dinner. I had beignet which is yukon gold mash mixed with salt cod, it was beer battered then deep fried to a perfect crisp. Then we split a salad Frisee Lardon. It was mixed frisee salad topped with a perfectly poached egg. For my main course I had a half chicken. The chicken was perfectly marinated and it was cooked just right. The skin was super crispy and the meat was moist, juicy and Crazy Tender. I was like How can chicken be this good? I ordered a side of fries. It was very hard not to eat the whole order. For dessert we had profiteroles and pot de creme. It was smooth like silk and a hint of vanilla taste. Everything at Petit Rouge was awesome. I highly recommend this place. more
