Dr. Howard C. (Tom) Peterson Jr. was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. He graduated from Sioux Falls Washington High School, Augustana College, and Northwestern University Dental School. He served two years active duty with the US Navy as a dental officer and twenty one years in the US Naval Reserve, retiring with the rank of Commander. Dr. Peterson entered private practice in 1974. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association, and the Southeastern District Dental Society. He is past president of the South Dakota Dental Association, past president of the Southeastern Dental Society, former board member of the Delta Dental Plan of SD, Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry, and Fellow of The International College of Dentists, of which he is the deputy regent for SD. He was an active member of the Academy of Gold Foil Operators and also the Academy of Operative Dentistry.
Dr. Lori Larsen was raised in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Lincoln High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Augustana College and then served in the U. S. Navy for eight years, including ten months in Saudi Arabia during the 1st Gulf War. She attended dental school at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she obtained her DDS in 1997 and went on to complete a two year General Practice Residency at the Baltimore VA Regional Medical Center, serving as the Chief Resident in her second year. After graduating from her residency, Dr. Larsen joined the dental practice of her uncle, Dr. H. C. Peterson, Jr.
Dr. Jason Ehlers was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Washington High School. He attended the University of South Dakota where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology. He went on to attend the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry where he obtained his DDS degree in 2001. Upon graduation, he returned to South Dakota and practiced dentistry in Dell Rapids and Flandreau before joining the practice of Dr. H.C. Peterson, Jr. and Dr. Lori Larsen in 2009.
