We were there with a group which had made reservations in advance. Our group occupied 4 tables. My wife and I are in our 60s. Most of our group is in that age range, but it also included two younger couples with small children.\r \r This is perhaps the worst restaurant that I have eaten in here in the US, and it rivals the two worst places that I've dined in the Third World. When we arrived shortly before noon the main section was empty and there was one party starting up in a private room. Yet, incredibly, it took the wait staff 45 minutes to take our orders. After taking the orders, they never came back to see if we needed anything else, like more water. Our table was served approximately one and a quarter hours after ordering. The couples with young children had to get up and leave and went to a nearby fast food place because they could just not wait any longer. Some of the other tables were served much later than us. Several of the customers did not get their side dishes. My daughter had a simple sandwich, and had to wait even longer than the rest of our table- I think her sandwich took an hour and a half.\r \r The seafood bisque soup tasted like it was out of a can- one a few years past its expiration. I had the Virginia spots, which seemed to be merely fried in butter. The ""salad"" was primarily iceberg lettuce that was starting to rot. Another of our group had the salmon in glazed orange sauce. The fish was raw and the ""orange sauce"" was orange flavored sugar, probably from the dollar store. \r \r The wait staff was unconcerned about the delays and screwed up orders. I did not hear even one member of our party that expressed a positive thought about the quality of the food- it seemed all were disappointed. Several of our group would not eat their meals when the food was finally served.\r \r A decent restaurant having an off day would have the manager come out and would have waived a sizeable amount of the bill. Unfortunately, our host did not get a single dime taken off the bill for that day and neither the manager nor the hostess bothered to come over and apologize, despite our group's complaints to the waitresses. \r \r AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. more

Very Poor Customer Service!! I placed my order for the Turkey dinner around 5 pm and was told 45 minutes later that they ran out of the Turkey. You are kidding me. When I complained to the manager he was sarcastic to me. I will NEVER dine at such a inconsiderate establishment. Your Loss! more

Event from Hell at Peters Place 10/17/2011

I am sorry to say that afrer recomending Peters Place to an organization that was honoring WWII service men, I was ashamed and very aplogetic to them. What a distaster!. The food was terrible, truly teriible the staff hated to be there and showed this in there manners to everyone there, the manager was utterly no help at all and maybe even worse. I was to sign the national Anthem and asked the girl to please fill my water glass, ans she just rolled her eyes at me and left the room and never came back. The manager who set up the room had a mass of wires behind the podiom that looked like a buncg of spaghetti. I was so afraid that the man speaking, ( who was 83 years old) was going to trip and fall. I cought him on more than one occasion before this happened. The bathrooms were poorly kept, the carpet where we were having our event could not have been swept and if it was, the sweeper needed replaced! This was truly a terrible experience and I will never, ever recomend them again. In fact, I tell as many people as I can now how bad it was, just so I can hopefully save them from and experience like we had. I wouldn't step foot in there again if it was the very last place to eat!!! more

shower from hell 4/10/2011

if i could give this a negative rating it would be a -5 stars! i HAD to give it a star to publish this.... my sister had a bridal shower there today. we arrived an hour before the shower to set up. glad we did. the floor hadn't been vacuumed from the night before (my mother had to vacuum it because the girl vacuuming was doing it like it was the 1st time she ever touched a vacuum!), a portable bar was in the corner with beer bottles all over it. the linens on the tables were dirty. when i asked for clean ones, i received MUCH attitude. the bathroom was out of toilet paper and hadn't been cleaned either. some tables had full set ups, others were missing coffee cups. they hacked the heck out of the cake. some pieces were teenie tiny, others were HUGE and had smeared icing hanging off the plates. there was another event with 200+ people and i truly feel like we were an after thought. when we complained, the manager just looked at us like we had no reason to complain. wouldn't even offer an apology. so disappointing. my shower was there 9 years ago and i have attended numerous events there and it was never like this. so disappointing! more

Dinner, Dancing and More! 5/28/2002

Peters Place is a wonderful place for all. Their food is sensational and the price is even better. The menu includes the freshest of seafood, mouthwatering steaks, tender veal dishes, and several chicken selections. Everything on the menu is prepared from scratch. I suggest you try their house specialty, the Seafood Bisque. more
