I'd go down the street to one of the better run shops to eat and just come to Peppers for some people watching - the new address still attracts a few eclectic folks. \r Many piz...

Pizza Pizza! 4/8/2006

Pepper's Pizza is a great spot for pizza on Franklin Street. It's got a casual laidback vibe. The staff is friendly and the pizza is quite tasty. I hear the Calzones are good, but I haven't tried them myself. Pepper's is a nice spot to go before going to a movie or before a night of barhopping in Chapel Hill. They also sell raw pizza dough so you can take it home and make your own creation. more

pretty good 4/6/2006

The best thing about Pepper's Pizza is their calzones. First of all, they are HUGE! They have a lot of different types of weird pizzas, and you can pretty much make your own by adding whatever you want. It's a really great college, laid-back atmosphere. They also play pretty good music! more

A Franklin St. Landmark 4/6/2006

North Carolina is known for several things, basketball, pork BBQ, beaches and southern politics. What surprised me was Chapel Hill is home to one of the best pizza joints in the country. Pepper Pizza tucked in small easy to miss hole on Franklin Street serves up one mean pizza. They also have great Stromboli’s. This local haunt is well worth your time. more

Get a little crazy at Pepper's 4/2/2006

Pepper's Pizza is one of the best places to eat in Chapel Hill. Unlike other, more famous, restaurants the Pepper's staff is compromised of real people and rarely caters to the local Frat/Sorority crowd. There are always new art projects on the walls (for sale) and their food is delicious. more

I like it 3/30/2006

There are lots of pizza places in Chapel Hill - obviously because it is a college town and college students eat a lot of pizza. Fortunately, Pepper's offers honest to goodness GOOD pizza. Their menu has a big selection - from pizza by the slice or pie and calzones to soup and salad. The location is also good - at the center of it all when it comes to Chapel Hill: Franklin Street. It's perfect for dinner before hitting the bars or clubs. more

Best Pizza in NC 1/30/2006

Pepper's Pizza on Franklin Street in the heart of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus serves the best pizza in all of North Carolina. The toppings range from the ordinary to funky, with spinach being one of the many choices open to you. Peppers also offers white pizza, calzone and stromboli. Start your meal off with a small salad and end it on a sweet note with some ice cream from nearby Ben and Jerry's. more

Best Pizza by the Bus Stop 12/9/2005

Pepper's Pizza is a local favorite. They have interesting and sundry toppings and rotating beers on tap. They have pizza by the pie or slice, calzones, salads, strombolis and gazpacho (highly recommend this soup!). I love their dough and sauce--it has such a fresh and good taste. If you're on Franklin St, you have to stop by this place. more

Good Pizza, Interesting Toppings 8/27/2005

I love Pepper's Pizza - they have a variety of interesting toppings and combinations beyond the usual ones you find in every other pizza joint. more

Great pizza and salads 8/12/2005

Come sit in these wooden booths and have some great pizza or salad. There are about 50 different toppings to choose from for the pizza and salads, and there are also calzones served here. The honey-poppyseed dressing is out of this world. They also serve a variety of beer, and this is a great place to hang out with friends or the family. Definitely a local favorite. more
